After lunch with my family, I went straight to Barry's place. I had a key to his place, so I walked in and saw him in the bedroom, still lounging in bed with his phone, wearing the same shirt and pants from our engagement party last night.

"Hey, how's your head feeling?"

"Feeling a little better now, sweetheart. I'm glad you're here. Come here. I miss you." His hand reached for my hand, and I allowed him to pull me on the bed and cuddled him.

He smells bad. He reeked of alcohol, cigarettes, coffee, and his own body odor. I pulled away from him, but he drew me closer.

"Have you eaten already?" I asked.

"I just had coffee." He rained kisses on my cheeks, then kissed my lips.

Terrible. His breath is nasty, just like the taste in his mouth.

"No...no." I stood up abruptly, pulling away from him. "Barry, you smell awful. You got to take a bath and brush your teeth."

"Come on, sweetheart. You love me. Can't you handle my little BO?"

"It's not little, it stinks." I complained and he laughed aloud. "Get up now and go to the bathroom. I'll make you dinner."

"Alright, whatever. I'm craving some delicious food right now." He stood up, stripped down, and stood in front of me, scratching his balls.

I rolled my eyes and headed to his kitchen to cook something. But the fridge and cupboard were totally bare. I had to grab some things from the grocery store down the street.

I got back just in time for when he finished taking a shower. I made his all-time fave cheeseburger and mac and cheese pasta.

I was watching him eat the food hungrily.

"You going to eat or what?" He asked when he was halfway done. "If you're not up for it, I'll happily finish the mac and cheese."

"Go for it. I'm still stuffed from lunch."

"What did you have? I'm guessing there were a ton of veggies for the oldies, right?"

"Yeah. But we also had Wagyu steak, truffle pasta, spaghetti, and fried chicken for the kids."

"Yeah, those spoiled brats," he smirked, chomping down on his burger. "I'm starving. Can you imagine? This is my first meal today."

"If I didn't come, I do not know what you'd be eating. Your kitchen had nothing to cook."

"I would've some fancy food. I was checking out the menu of an Italian joint. But anyway," he glanced at the burger I made and was like, "this is fine."

Seriously? My brows wrinkled. He used to rave about my cheeseburger, but now he's over it.

I remembered Colton eating my chocolate cake. He was completely overwhelmed with joy at eating it. He thought it was the best thing ever. And Barry here didn't even bother to compliment my food or say thank you for my effort.

Oh my God. Why am I even comparing these two men? Am I being too sensitive? I get hurt so easily over the littlest things. Or maybe I just want Barry's attention?

I let out a sigh. It's probably just pre-wedding nerves. It's a common thing for brides. I got to do something. Maybe I should take Sage's suggestion to spend more time with Barry.

"Barry, we should make love tonight. It's been awhile." I asked him boldly. Normally I'm shy, but that evening I just went for it.

"Of course, why not? Your wish is my command, darling." He answered with a teasing smile. "Just let me finish my food, and I'll have you for dessert."
