Colton

Despite being hurt by Cox, Luna still had her doubts about him. I couldn't blame her. She had been in a relationship with the guy for three years, and moving on wouldn't be easy.

But I was determined to remove every trace of her doubt and show how cruel Cox was. She wanted evidence of his infidelity, and I would give her that.

She didn't have to tell me how sad and lonely she was. I could tell by her posture and facial expression. Her shoulders slumped like she was carrying a ton of stuff, and she always pouted without realizing it.

It was hard to watch her feeling that way. I wanted to make her feel better, erase the pain from that jerk's betrayal. To give her lots of hugs and kisses until she feels better. I wanted her to know I've got her back, and I won't leave unless she tells me to.

It was already ten in the evening and we were just chilling on the carpet with big throw pillows on our backs, and Bonnie snoozing in between.

Luna was tireless, as she continued to talk about her passion for cooking, her love for books and being idealistic in love and romance. I was there, loving every second. She looked amazing and I couldn't stop staring at her gorgeous face and listening to her sweet voice.

"I wanted to have my happily ever after, like my family. Grandma Pia worked as Grandpa Kristov's maid to cover her aunt and ended up falling for him. Mom and Dad got themselves into an arranged marriage. They had their differences at the beginning, but luckily they ended up being in love."

"Yeah, I heard about that. She wore a black dress on her wedding."

"She was so savage." She chuckled. "Can't blame her. She got a terrible grandpa who forced her into an arranged marriage. And that's the reason my parents don't like the idea of an arranged marriage to their children. Sebastian married Sweet for love, and they're hoping the same for me. But unfortunately, this happens."

"Relax, it's not the end of the world. You're young, you'll find someone who really meant for you."

"I really hope so." She sighed heavily. "After this happened to me, I've got major trust issues. Perhaps it's best to just go for an arranged marriage instead."

I couldn't handle the thought of her getting into an arranged marriage with some random person. I didn't want her to be in danger. Since she believes in love, she deserves to marry for love and live happily ever after.

"That's wild and risky. What if you end up with a guy worse than Cox?"

She let out a big sigh and flopped onto the floor, facing me.

"Colton, do you think I'll ever find the perfect guy for me? Someone who would totally love me for me, not caring about my cash and status?"

"Luna, don't sell yourself short. You're an exquisite woman, smart, confident, kind and family oriented. Any guy would totally be head over heels for you."

"Don't you think I'm boring?"

"Boring? What makes you think that? I would've been out like a light if you weren't interesting."

"That's really sweet of you to say." She said, watching me as I was watching her.

Damn. She looked incredibly beautiful. She completely mesmerized me.

When I arrived at her house and saw her, all I wanted was to hold her in my arms and kiss her with intense passion. I had been missing her so much. She was the reason for my countless sleepless nights. I would think about her and wonder if she was thinking of me, too.

In that moment, I couldn't tell if I was imagining it, but her eyes seemed to be filled with burning passion. It felt like she was inviting me to lean closer and kiss her.
