Colton

On Tuesday morning, I was in the office with Gerald. We had a recap on the things we need to do for the Glamour Fashion account.

"Are you going to the Glamour Fashion Company today?"

"Not today. I'm busy with the other accounts and we've got someone important coming from Germany this afternoon. It's better for you and Ian to stay in the office also and organize the data you've collected, so we can analyze and come up with a tentative plan."

"Okay, we'll do that." He gave a nod. "Anything more?"

"That's it." I smiled and leaned back against my chair, stretching my arms. "I was with Luna last night. We had dinner at the penthouse."

His eyebrows shot up. "It looks like you're spending a lot of time with her these days. Is she still into marrying Cox?"

"She does until she gathers more evidence about him."

"Then we must collect more evidence on Cox. Did you show her the details of his purchases?" He asked.

"Not yet. She seemed really stressed-out last night, maybe tonight."

His eyes widened. "Wait, you're seeing her again tonight?"

"We're busier during the day, so evenings work better for us. Besides, meeting her in the evening would cut down her time talking with Cox." I smirked.

"That's a brilliant idea. That's a clever move, bro."

"Besides breaking Luna's engagement with Cox, I want her to become successful on her own, without Cox. That's why I wanna set up a new system for their company right away, so we can see minor improvements every day. She'll give everything to make the company succeed and hopefully she'll realize the issues in her relationship with Cox."

"Yeah, that's a good idea. But bro, time's ticking. She's marrying Cox in three weeks. Charming her is the best option to get rid of the guy fast."

I paused, then let out a frustrated sigh.

"I don't know how to use my charm on her. I'm not good at faking it."

"You're not good, or you're just afraid that your true feelings will show, huh?"

Our discussion was cut off when my phone rang. It was my executive secretary, Albert Ong, calling. He informed me that the afternoon appointment got canceled because my client had an urgent family matter.

"My meeting this afternoon got canceled. I got to see Luna."

"Go ahead and make sure to use your magic on her."

"Okay," I agreed. "I'll try."

I texted Luna.

Me: I'll be in your office this afternoon to discuss Cox's expenses.

I waited for her to reply. For ten minutes, I was pacing the room with Gerald's eyes on me.

"Just sit down, okay? Maybe she's in the middle of the meeting."

"Her phone is always with her. There's no way she didn't see my text." I finally sat down behind my desk, leaning back in my chair.

"She's probably on a call. Just be a patient, man."

There was this knot in my stomach on the idea of her talking to Cox. I was debating whether to call her when my phone beeped. My spirit lifted when it was Luna.

Luna: I can't this pm. Food and cake tasting for the wedding.

Suddenly, I felt down. Before I could text her back for tonight, another message popped up.
