My heart throbbed as I rang the doorbell of Barry's apartment on Saturday morning. To ensure that my identity was hidden, I pulled the cap down low over my eyes. I camouflaged myself as a cleaner, dressing in a baggy blue jumpsuit, wearing a wig and applying prosthetic makeup. Although Colton's suggestion was risky, I had no choice but to follow it in order to discover the truth about Barry's infidelity.
The familiar woman opened the door when it rang for the fourth time. Her blonde hair was a mess, and she was wearing a bathrobe that looked oddly familiar–the same bathrobe I had gifted Barry last Christmas.
My blood ran cold upon seeing her.
"Hi!" Venus greeted, then shouted over her shoulder in a high-pitched voice. "Honey, the cleaner is here!"
"Let her in." I heard Barry shouted back.
I had reservations about going inside. The sight of Venus in Barry's apartment, clad only in his robe, was substantial evidence. But I couldn't just walk away and risk arousing suspicion.
"Come in." She said, then she closed the door with her foot when I entered the apartment.
As soon as I entered the apartment, a strong and unpleasant smell hit me instantly. The pungent scent of vomit combined with the stale aroma of spilled alcohol and lingering cigarette smoke.
I scrunched up my nose as my eyes surveyed the mess in front of me.
The once tidy and comfortable living room had become a chaotic mess. The floor was covered with discarded bottles of beer, liquor and red solo cups, a clear sign of the excessive night.
The coffee table was almost hidden beneath the heap of garbage stacked on top. The pizza boxes were nasty, with half-eaten slices and cheese sliding off the crust. And there were sticky beer spills all over the place. It was disgusting. Chip bags were crushed and thrown on the floor, making a mess.
"Hope you'll have fun cleaning up this mess." Venus chuckled. "Barry invited his homies last night. They were planning his bachelor's party."
What a total jerk! He'd be in for a big surprise 'cause that's never ever gonna happen.
I took another look at the mess. What a group of slobs. Can you believe I was in a relationship with a man who lived like a pig?
"Venus! Get back in bed!" Barry yelled from his room. "I'm not done with you."
"Have to go. That man child can't get enough of me. Clean it up, make it spotless, okay?" She chuckled, then ran to the bedroom.
From the bedroom, I could hear their voices clearly.
"Again?" Venus asked.
"Yes, again. Are you complaining?"
"Of course not. I'd ride your cock every day for shopping." She giggled.
"Then do it now. I'm so horny."
"You're always horny for me." Her laughter echoed throughout the entire house.
I walked up to Barry's bedroom. The door was slightly open, and I could see the foot of the bed. I was like, um, hesitating and my heart was pounding like crazy. I took a deep breath and peeked inside.
They were both naked in bed. Barry was lying on his back, enjoying Venus' talent as she rode him. They were totally lost in each other and didn't even realize what was happening around them.
What a bastard!
My hands were like vise-grips, fingers digging into my palm. I was a mess of emotions—pissed, hurt, and crushed. I was itching to storm in and give them a piece of my mind, but I had to play it smart.
