"You better run boy run, come here right now, right now, right now, 'cause when the sun goes down the beast comes out, comes out, comes out," ~ Mia Martina

By the time Ross was half way through his story, I was just about ready to shred my father to pieces.
My mother wasn't dead, she was hiding from my father, and all this time he knew she was alive.
"So, dad wants us to think mom is dead so that we won't go looking for her?" I asked Ross.
"Yes," he said.
"And he's going to kill mom if we find her because somehow, he always has tabs on us? Except for now obviously or else he would've come and get me," I said.
"Correct," Ross confirmed.
I sighed heavily, "Why would he want to kill her?"
"Because he wants us to be ultimate fighting machines, and, mom doesn't want us to be killers. She wants us to have normal lives,"
I scoffed, "Normal lives." I mocked, "What's normal about our lives?"
"Nothing at the moment, but I'm pretty sure the relationship we have have is pretty normal," he said hopefully.
But as soon as I let him in, I shut him out. "Look, Ross, just because I'm fighting with you against our father, it doesn't mean that I've forgiven you for all of the things you've put me through,"
Ross ran his hands through his thick hair and huffed, "I haven't done anything wrong, Ray! I don't know why we can't just go back to the way we used to!"
I rolled my eyes at his foolishness, "We can't go back to the way we used to be because we are not children anymore, Ross!" I yelled.
"I'm not going to run to you every time I have a problem, or ask you to kiss my boo-boo better, and I'm sure as hell not going to forgive and forget!"
"Please forgive me Ray, you don't have to forget all of the things I've put you through. But just please forgive me,"
I opened my mouth, but all that came out was emptiness.
I couldn't find words anymore. I was done fighting, all I wanted to do was live my life.
All of this horrible shit started to happen when I came to AA, and I just want it to stop.
But first, I have asses to kick and people to kill. And the first person on the top of my kill list?
1. My Soon To Be Ex-Father
**********
"Sir? We have an emergency on the first floor."
Now usually you would hear those words and think of an Apartment, condo, or even a hotel.
But in this case, it was like someone was trying to take over your territory. Like a pack of hungry wolves.
And let me tell you, I am out for blood.
"What's the problem?" Ross asked.
"It looks like we have 5 enemies approaching our 3rd door on the second floor now. They're climbing fast," the man who was monitoring the cameras said.
"Well what the fuck are we waiting for?" I asked, "Shoot them!" I exclaimed.
"It's not that simple Ray," Ross said calmly, "we will be starting a war with these people if we shoot at them,"
"Didn't they already start it by attacking our territory? Fucking shoot them before I shoot you," I said.
But Ross and I both knew that it was an empty threat. Well at least I knew.
Ross' eyes widened a bit at my threat, but regardless he still listened to me.
"Light 'em up!" He ordered the guns man.
Ross then handed me a pair of, what seemed to be, headphones.
"For when they shoot," he explained.
I nodded and quickly pulled them over my head and onto my ears.
Never though I had these sound proof headphones on, I could still feel the vibrations of the bullets being shot.
I could feel the click of the gun, indicating that it was empty.
Reload and fire, I thought.
"Ray! Watch out!" Someone yelled.
I opened my eyes, unconscious that I even closed them, and looked around.
I let out a frustrated groan as I was tackled to the ground by an enemy.
I struggled to get them off me.
I punched them in the face, spit on them. But still, they wouldn't budge.
They pressed the the tip of the gun to my temple and spoke, "Man, I never knew you would just let me shoot you. Damn, Ray!"
I recognized that voice, "Brianne?" I asked, and my suspicion was confirmed by a girly laugh.
"You bitch! I thought I was actually gonna get shot!" I scowled at her.
"I'm surprised you didn't cry and beg for your life!" She told me.
"I don't beg," I spat out. I meant for it to be a joke, but it came out harsh.
Her smile quickly faded, "I'm sorry, I meant for it to be funny."
And she was right, when we were back at Assassin Academy, we would always pull guns on each other and shoot one another. but only when we were wearing bullet proof vests.
And before, we used to laugh it off like it was nothing. But I guess that with everything that's going on, I just didn't find it that funny anymore.
"It's okay," I sighed out to her.
"How did you know I was here?" I asked her.
"Oh, your dad sent us here. We didn't know that we would be shot at though."
"Is everyone okay?" I asked.
"Oh, yeah. But Hanna got a shot to the leg,"
And I don't know why, but I immediately felt sorry for her.
"Wait," I said, dawning on something, "did you just say my father sent you here?"
"Yeah." Brianne said slowly, "Why?"
"Ross!" I called out.
"Yeah?" He said. He was sitting at the computers that were monitoring the cameras.
"My father sent them here," I told him.
His eyes widened and he said, "We need to leave." He looked at Brianne, then back at me, "Now,"
