I was having a dinner with my family, except for Austin. Mom brought him food in our room because Dad was still mad at him. Perhaps staying at the secret base with Ringo helped me.

"Winston," called Dad, and as usual, he's not staring at me.

"Yes, Dad?" I responded.

"Your Mom and I will go back to Montana tomorrow," he said. "Isasama na rin namin si Austin pauwi."

"Uuwi na kayo agad?" tanong ko.

Mom turned her head to me. "We're very anxious that Austin might do something foolish again. Mabuti ng iuwi na namin siya dahil baka mas malala pa ang magawa niya."

"You could stay here if you want," Dad voiced.

"I booked this place for ten days," said Mom. "You can stay, but if you also want to go home, sumabay ka na sa'min bukas."

I quickly shook my head. "No, Mom. It's fine. I want to stay."

"Are you sure?" she asked.

"Yes," I answered, nodding.

"Okay. There's enough food and groceries at the kitchen. I'll also transfer money on your account. Kung may kailangan ka pa ay tawagan mo lang ako," sambit ni Mom.

I nodded to her statement and we resumed our dinner. Staying alone was my jam, but I was more thrilled about the idea that I could spend more time away from my parents.

It feels like a safe haven when my parents are not around me.

After having our dinner, I spent time at the veranda with a coffee. I recalled my moments with Ringo at his secret base. Thinking about him and everything he showed me gave a different feeling. Kumakalma ang aking dugo at nagiging payapa ang aking isipan. It was as if he had the ability to grab negative energy and turn it into something beautiful.

While enjoying my coffee, my phone rang. I received a call from a friend. Mabilis ko naman itong sinagot.

"Hello, Andres," I said.

"Hey! How are you, bro?" he spoke through the phone.

"Good. You?" I responded with my usual calm voice.

"Doing good as well. Pero mainit ang ulo ko ngayon dahil inutusan ako ni Mom na pumunta ng supermarket kanina."

"You love your mom the most, bakit ka nagrereklamo?" tanong ko.

"Wala naman akong problema sa inutos niya, but the thing is, he made me go with Emilio. You know how much I hate that person."

I laughed at his statement, but I made sure I didn't let out a single sound. "Sigurado ka bang may galit ka talaga sa kanya?"

I heard he sniffed. "Of course! I can't even take a close contact with him, not even a second."

Andres possessed strong qualities as a student and as a basketball player, but one thing that he lacked the most was the ability to hide his true feelings.

"Okay," I said. "So why did you call me? I'm sure you're not only calling to express your anger about Emilio."

"Ah Yes! Bullet asked me to call you. Pinatatanong kung kailan ka raw uuwi?"
