Two days left before our holiday break ended. Ringo and I went to our house at Pine Village. Pinapunta kami ni Ashwin dahil mayroon daw siyang sasabihin.
"What is it?" I asked while we were enjoying the donuts I brought.
"Before I answer that, I have a question first," said Ashwin.
I shot him a look. "What is it?"
"Bakit puro matatamis ang dinadala mo kapag pumupunta ka dito?" inis niyang sabi. "Pizza and burger are way better than sweets."
"Hindi naman para sa'yo ang mga dinadala ko," sagot ko, sabay lingon kay Ringo. Hindi siya nakatingin sa'kin dahil nakatuon ang pansin niya sa choco bavarian cream donut habang nakaharap sa TV.
"Ouch!" Ashwin reacted. "You're becoming more rude like Bullet, huh!"
"Being rude and being honest are two different things," I smirked.
"Fine!" He rolled his eyes.
Tumawa naman ng mahina si Ringo habang nakatingin kay Ashwin. I noticed there was a chocolate stuck in his mouth. Without hesitation, I removed it with my thumb. Napatingin naman sa'kin si Ringo. He licked his lips and dropped a smile, then he continued murdering his donut.
Ashwin cleared his throat, taking our attention. "You're forgetting I'm here, don't you?"
I chuckled and said, "You better find a boyfriend if you're that envious."
"Next topic," he said and threw his hand in the air. Naalala ko ang lalaking nakausap niya na may pangalang Dandrix. If he was brave and crazy enough like me, he would definitely not let go of that man.
"So what are you going to tell us?" I asked and grabbed the glass of coke on the table.
"Babalik na ako sa bahay namin bukas," sabi niya, kaya mabilis akong napatingin sa kanya. Even Ringo turned to him with his surprised look.
"Aalis ka na?" nagtatakang tanong ni Ringo.
Ashwin laughed quietly. "Don't worry, hindi naman ako mawawala. Sa Marble Village lang din naman ang bahay namin. Just five blocks away from Winston's house."
"Gano'n ba," tumatangong sabi ni Ringo.
"Pinababalik ka na ng Mommy mo?" tanong ko.
"No, but Dad did. I requested him to live in our house again and he said yes. So I have my reason now to go back and stay in my own house," he explained.
"May kakampi ka na ulit," komento ko.
"Absolutely!" Ashwin snapped. "Kaya nga tinawag ko kayo ngayon dito para naman makapag-bonding tayo."
"Kung makapagsalita ka naman ay parang aalis ka ng Montana," sambit ko.
Ashwin puffed his cheeks. "I'm just concern with your feelings. Of course, this is our last moment to stay in this house. I doubt you're going back here if I'm not around."
I flattened my lips for a second and said, "Well, since you're leaving tomorrow, Ringo and I have more reasons to go back here."
Ashwin dropped his jaw while Ringo cupped his mouth. Gusto kong matawa sa reaksyon nila, ngunit pinigilan ko ang tumawa.
"My gosh, Winston!" Ashwin blurted. "I don't like how your head works these days."
"Nagsalita ang mas maraming experience," pang-aasar ko.
"Experience na ano?" tanong ni Ringo, dahilan para matahimik kami ng pinsan ko.
Ashwin and I exchanged awkward stared, as if we were talking in our heads. Mabuti na lamang ay biglang tumunog and door bell.
