The consecutive school events were exhausting, but it gave us so much memory to keep before leaving Northside High.
The month was packed with numerous events that kept everyone busy, making it difficult for me to keep track of everything.
The day of our basketball tournament came. It's also the performing arts program's film viewing where Ringo was one of the lead cast.
"Good luck to us," said Andres and tapped me on my shoulder.
"Let's do our best," Bullet followed while tapping my other shoulder.
"For Northside High," I said while smiling.
We headed to the game against Southside High. Just like what I expected, Austin was there, playing against our team. I tried being understanding because I knew he's dealing of something more important.
As I ran going to the opposite side of the court, I saw Ringo from the bleacher. I kept my eyes focused from playing, but I was also taking a second glance to look at Ringo.
When I turned my head, he already let go of the ball and threw it to me. I got the ball and began dribbling it. I ran and aimed for the ring, and when I found a good spot to shoot the ball, I looked at Ringo first and winked at him.
I jumped and let go the ball, and after a second, the ball went through the ring, giving my team a three-point score.
It was a great feeling to play basketball while the person you love was watching you.
After the break, the fourth quarter began. I lost my balance, causing me to fall down on the court.
"Are you okay?" Andres asked, and helped me standing.
"Yes," I answered, but as soon as I pressed my foot on the floor, I fell again.
"No," I insisted. "I need to finish this game."
My teammates and coach exchanged looks, maybe thinking how would they convince me to stop playing.
"Are you stupid?" someone said, which caught everyone's attention.
"Austin?" I mumbled.
"You're injured, so don't force yourself to play," he said, while looking at me sitting on the floor.
