Ashton: the shy boy sat in front of you was nothing like the person you knew. He was quite clearly nervous, which was actually quite sweet.
"Ash, it's just me. Stop panicking." You said softly, attempting to comfort him. He gazed into your eyes and exhaled deeply.
"S-sorry. You know me. You know how I get... You just make me nervous." He admitted.
"Is that a good thing?"
He smiled and nodded, "yeah. It shows you how much of an affect you have on me, so you can be sure how much I like you. I just want this to be perfect."
"Ashton, this is perfect. But, we could be sat outside in the snow with no coats on and I'd still find that perfect. As long as I'm with you I'm happy, okay?"
His shoulders finally relaxed and his face softened. At last, he was at ease.
"Do you wanna get out of here?" He asked in a low voice. You glanced around. This restaurant was very fancy - it was neither yours nor Ashton's scene. "We can just go watch a film or something? You know, just be together?" He continued. You couldn't stop yourself from smiling. "I would love that, Ashton."Calum: a snort of laughter came from next to you as a piece of popcorn hit your nose. You glared at Calum, but you couldn't help but grin at him. So far your date was going pretty well.
"Are you having fun?" Calum asked you. He was smiling, but you could hear the nerves in his voice. "I am. I hope the film's good." You replied. He nodded, "me too."
Halfway through the film you decided you couldn't take anymore. It was awful. You grabbed a handful of popcorn and threw it over Calum, who was shocked to say the least.
"This film is so bad. I'm sorry I brought you." He whispered in your ear. All you could think about was how close he was.
"I have a way we could make it better." You mumbled, a mischievous grin crossing your lips. He looked confused.
You pressed your lips together, having to wait only seconds before he responded. Luckily you were at the back of the cinema so nobody would see - however you were two of seven people in the entire cinema so bothering other people was barely an issue.
His hand moved to rest on your thigh. He squeezed it a little and pulled back a fracture. "This is way better than the film."Luke: you couldn't help but laugh as you realised where Luke had brought you. "Ice skating?" You giggled. He looked a little panicked. "Yeah? I... Uh... Don't you like it?"
"Of course I do! It's just the idea of you ice skating... It's hilarious." You laughed. He scowled at you. This was going to go terribly. So far Luke had fallen over 11 times. You had only been on the ice for a hour. He was mildly embarrassed, but you were having the best time. Watching Luke was endlessly funny.
"How come you haven't fallen yet?" Luke grumbled indignantly.
"Because I know how to do it. Here, hold my hand, I'll help you." You suggested, lacing your fingers together. He blushed a little, which was cute. He was clearly nervous - you could tell he wanted to impress you, but you weren't sure why. You'd known each other forever and he impressed you enough by just being himself. He didn't need to do anything else.
You managed to skate for all of ten seconds before you found yourself on your arse.
"[Y/N] I'm so sorry I..." Luke began, but you cut him off with a kiss.
"Luke, you don't need to try to impress me. I like you as you are. This has been amazing." You assured him. He seemed to relax a little.
"I'm really not great at this." He sighed.
"I know, Luke, I know."Michael: Green Day blared on full blast as Michael drove you to your date. So far the night was going well - he'd even put your favourite CD in. He stopped the car in an area that would seem random to anyone but you.
"Mike..." You started. You found yourself at a loss for words. You couldn't believe he remembered. He grinned at you. "Is this okay?"
Words weren't coming to you, so you nodded enthusiastically. Of course this was okay.
Michael locked the car behind you and entwined your fingers, sending butterflies rippling through your stomach. You walked in silence to the edge of the cliffs, gazing out over the sea. Michael sighed contently.
"[Y/N], can I tell you something?"
"Of course."
"I messed up with planning something for tonight. I tried so hard to get us a reservation in that restaurant you like but they said they were all booked up till next week. But then I remembered you telling me how much you loved it here last time we came, so I hope this is okay. But I am sorry. We're booked in to that restaurant next week, for our second date, okay?" Michael rambled, barely taking a breath between words. You couldn't help but giggle.
"Mike, this is perfect. I wouldn't have wanted to spend our first date any other way." You told him, gently placing a kiss on his lips.
