Ashton: he looks nervous, as if there was ever any chance of you saying no. How could you say no to that? It wasn't even a possibility.
You nod your head. "Yes. Yes of course." Ashton grins and tells you to wait at the back of the building for him once you've gotten out of here before turning his attention back to the group. You don't think anyone even noticed that you had been talking to each other.
---
It took a good ten minutes to convince your friend that you weren't just messing about after you'd left the meet and greet. When you finally managed to convince her that you were telling the truth, she squealed and wrapped you in a hug. "I'm gonna go back to the hotel, okay? Stay safe!" She said with a wide grin.
Now you're alone at the back of the building anxiously waiting for Ashton to turn up.
"Hey, [Y/N]!" He calls from inside a doorway. You walk over to him and he invites you inside.
"Hey," you greet him, not really sure what to say. Your heart is pounding.
"I'm just gonna come right out and say that you're the only thing I've been able to think about since I first saw you earlier on," Ashton tells you, taking your hand as you walk into a little room with a sofa and a TV.
"Wh- really?" You stutter, gazing into his big eyes in disbelief.
"Of course really. I... I really wanted to see you again. I knew that if I didn't I'd regret it."
"I'm glad you asked me to come back," you whisper, unable to think of anything better to say. Ashton smiles. "Will you go on a date with me [Y/N]?"
It's difficult to believe that you're not dreaming. Ashton Irwin just asked you on a date. Stuff like that doesn't happen in real life.
"Yes. Yes of course I will." You gush, and quickly curse yourself for sounding too enthusiastic. You exchange phone numbers before you unwillingly decide that it's probably best to get back to your friend soon.
Ashton lets you out the same door you came in, and just as you're turning to leave he grabs your hand and pulls you back, leaving you in close proximity to one another.
"Can I- I mean would it be alright if I... can I kiss you, [Y/N]?" Ashton whispers, his breath hot on your lips. Unable to speak, you nod your head. Ashton captures your lips with his, and your mind blanks. It feels like magic - you can't explain it. You've never felt anything like this in your life.Calum: for the first five minutes of the walk neither of you speak, until Calum finally chirps up with a "so..."
Giggling, you stop in the hallway and turn to him. "I'm nervous around you too you know, I mean - you're Calum Hood for gods sake. But I want you to know that you don't need to be nervous. I already think you're great, so you don't need to impress me."
Calum lets out a sigh of relief. "I still feel like I need to impress you though. You only know the half of me that performs on stage and the side I let people see in interviews. I need to make you like every side of me."
"Why's that?" You respond, a little curious.
Calum blushes. "Because, err, because I want you to like me. Because I like you."
Now you're blushing. You had never expected to hear those words coming from Calum Hood of all people.
As you start walking again, Calum takes your hand. It makes your entire body tingle and causes goosebumps to cover your skin. You have to put real effort into keeping your body from shaking.
"So, um, what did you want to show me?" You ask when you reach the dressing room.
Calum's face is burning red again. Your eyebrows crease forward in confusion as you ask "what's the matter?"
"I... I lied about having something to show you. I just wanted to talk to you on your own for a little while." Calum admits sheepishly. Grinning, you take a seat on the sofa. "Lets talk. Ask me anything you want to know."
---
"No way! I'm terrified of heights. I'd never be able to do that." You laugh.
For a few minutes Calum is silent and his face falls. "What's the matter?" You ask him, concerned.
"We've been gone nearly an hour. We should probably go back now. But... I don't want to. I want to stay with you." He says, his voice sad.
"Pass me your phone," you request, holding out your hand. Calum gives you his phone and you quickly type your number into it.
"Here, now you can see me again." You say, passing it back to him. He stands up and heads for the door, so you follow him.
"You would want that?" He sounds unsure.
"Of course I would!"
He grins. "Great. Uh- there's one more thing before we go back."
"Wha-" you begin, but you're cut off my Calum pressing his lips to yours. Electricity burns through your body, making every nerve ending fizzle and set alight. You feel alive. When he pulls away you're instantly yearning for more.
"I'm sorry I just-"
"Do that again," you interrupt him. He looks confused for a second, but then he smiles and pulls you back into him. It's not any less intense the second time, or the third time. It's the best thing you've ever felt.
