Michael: silence loomed around us. [Y/N] didn't seem to want to speak to me after I had made the comment about her boyfriend. I sighed. "C'mon, [Y/N]... I said I was sorry. This was supposed to be our fun road trip."
She huffed and looked over to me. I tried my best to keep my eyes on the road but I allowed them to linger on her for seconds longer than I should have.
"Fine. But why did you say it?"
"I, uh, I guess I just felt a little jealous. I don't have anyone who's gonna miss me enough to walk me to the car." I lied. Still, it was better than telling her the truth.
"He's not gonna miss me. I bet he's sleeping with someone else as we speak."
"What?" I almost swerved into another car I was that shocked. "What are you talking about? You guys are so in love."
"Yeah... No. He's cheated on me at least twice. He thinks I don't know, but I do."
"Then why haven't you broken up with him?"
"I was giving him time to own up to his mistakes, you know, just to see if he cared enough to try and fix things... But he hasn't. I'm gonna call things off with him it's just... Well we've been together for a while. And I'm scared of change. I guess I've just been putting it off." I couldn't believe what I was hearing.
"Are you okay?" All I really cared about was how she was feeling.
"Yeah I'm okay. Really, I'm fine. I don't think there's been much love in our relationship for a while. I'm good, though. I guess I knew it wasn't gonna last, I was just hoping it could."
"So... When are you gonna end things?"
"I was gonna call up and do it tonight. I know it's not the best way to end a relationship, but he cheated on me. He doesn't deserve any better way really."

Luke: the sound of her laughter filled the car. So far she hadn't mentioned Danny once.
"Do you really not know where we are?" She giggled. I shook my head. We were lost.
"Maybe a road trip wasn't the greatest idea... Your sense of direction is awful!"
"Excuse me, you said to just drive. I just drove and now look where we are! In the middle of nowhere!" I laughed. I parked the car on the side of the road and gazed over at her. We managed to stare at each other for all of 5 seconds before we burst out laughing.
After we had calmed down she pulled a map from underneath her seat. She proceeded to look at it for ten minutes before she turned to me, deadly serious and said "yeah, I can't read maps." And, of course, we both started laughing again.
---
"Okay okay, truth." She decided. Her face was lit up by the campfire that had taken us hours to make, and she had never looked more beautiful. I sighed thoughtfully. "Alright... What is the furthest you've been with Danny?" Her smile faded. I wasn't really sure why I had to ask, but I felt the need to know.
"I... I-uh-I..." She spluttered, "I have a confession." She was blushing majorly.
"Go ahead."
"I... Oh god I'm gonna look so pathetic. Don't judge me, alright?" I nodded, "well... Me and Danny went on two dates... And then I broke it off with him. He's not my boyfriend. He never was, actually. I just said that he was."
"What?! Why?"
"I... I, um, I'm not sure. Well I am but... Well it's complicated." She pushed her hair away from her face and swiftly changed the subject. "So, uh, truth or dare?"

Ashton: muffled sobs coming from the other side of the tent woke me. I soon realised that the only other person in the tent was [Y/N], therefore it must be her.
"[Y/N]? What's wrong babe?" I whispered, shuffling closer to her. I was worried. She jumped slightly in shock, but soon realised it was only me. She quickly wiped her tears.
"Oh, Ash. I didn't mean to wake you. I'm sorry." She mumbled.
"What's wrong?" I questioned, wrapping my arm around her shoulders.
"When I said T-Tyler called this morning..." She stammered, "h-he called to break up with me. I wasn't gonna tell you. I didn't want to ruin our trip."
He broke up with her? Anger consumed me instantly, but her soft fingers lacing through my own quickly startled me back into regaining my composure. Now it was only her skin touching mine that was causing my heart to pound against my ribcage like it was an animal trying to be freed from a cage. She looked up at me with her big, beautiful eyes and gave me a slight smile. "Don't worry, Ash. I'm okay."
"You're clearly not."
"Well, I'm not, but I will be. I think I'm just upset because I was a little shocked by it. I haven't really had time to be sad about it until now. Don't worry about me, alright?"
"Babe, you... You're all that matters to me. How could I not be worried about you?"
Her tear streaked cheeks flushed pink. At least she had stopped crying. I just wanted to hold her and make her be alright again.
"Ash I... I'll be okay tomorrow, I promise. I'm not gonna let this ruin our trip. But it's okay, because whenever I'm with you I'm always happy and, uh, I can't think of anything else so... I won't be thinking about this. I've got you. I don't need anyone else."

Calum: [Y/N] was being unusually quiet. I had asked her what was wrong a thousand times, but each time she had told me she was fine. She never took it into consideration that I know her better than I knew myself - and I knew she was not fine. Still, I didn't want to pester her too much. We drove for a little while longer before I pulled up outside a bar. She turned to me, confused as to why we were stopping before we got to our first campsite.
"We may as well get something to eat while we're still in civilisation." I half joked. She nodded and got out of the car.
---
"So are you gonna tell me what's wrong yet?" I said, taking a bite of my burger. She smiled and finished her mouthful of pizza.
"I'm good Cal, really. I'm here with you, things couldn't be better, could they?"
I grinned at her, but I still refused to believe her. She wasn't telling me something. "Did something happen after I left last night?"
Her expression hardened.
"What happened?"
She sighed. "I broke up with Ry."
I blinked a few times. She what?
"You... Why?"
To my surprise she laughed. My face creased in confusion as I waited for her to explain.
"Because of you, actually."
I bit back my shock. "W-why?"
"Because... Because when you left I realised how sad it made me. I realised that I had been spending the entire night trying to look good in front of you, that I had been hoping that I could make you just a little bit jealous, even if that was stupid. It's normal to be a little sad when your friend leaves, but I was more than sad. You leaving made me want to leave too. And that's when I really did realise. Everything is so much more intense when it comes to you, everything is amplified. You... You make me so happy. Even just seeing you for two seconds makes me feel better than seeing Ry for two hours could. Everything is better with you."
