Chapter 9. Don't laugh.

You held your breath when you and Doflamingo walked in. He went in first. The loud talking went from a crowd to church mice in a second. When people saw you behind him they started to whisper.

Then your eyes locked on her, Rose. Her face was pale and distraught. You felt a bit bad since she probably thought she was going to die because she hurt a family member. Doflamingos hand latched onto yours.

He dragged you over to one of the nicer tables. "Seems like someone remembers you.." He said with a grin that held mostly cruelty. You sat down with him.

"Did you think she wouldn't?.." You asked a bit intrigued. He smirked. "No. I just wanted to see how scared she'd be." He said with a sick grin. There's the Doflamingo You knew.

But still...His hand was still very tightly locked together with yours. Doflamingo glared at Rose signaling to get her ass over here. Rose quickly came over. "W-What can I get you, My king?..." She asked while shaking.

Doflamingos grinned widened and he clicked his tongue. "Aren't you going to ask this nice lady what she wants too?.." He asked well glaring daggers at Rose.

Rose glanced at you. "Oh of course! W-What would you like?.." She asked shaking even more. You smirked. You were a bit salty. "Rum Martinez." You said naming off a drink you knew she'd have a hard time making.

Doflamingo held in a laugh. Rose held a smile on her face, but you could see it twitch a bit. She nodded. "And you, my king..?" She asked.

Doflamingo leaned down to the old woman. "The best wine you have, and make it quick." He snapped. Rose nodded and ran off. He turned to you.

"Rum Martinez?.." He hummed. "Have you ever had that before? Or was that just you being petty?" He asked and leaned on his hand while staring at you. You smiled slightly.

You actually did like that drink so..."Both." You said softly. He smirked and looked back at Rose who was trying to get his drink as fast as she could. Doflamingo then frowned.

"Why...Didn't you just let me kill her..?" Doflamingo asked quietly, glaring at Rose. You sighed. "There is no need for murder.." You said a bit worried. Why would he even want to kill an old lady?

Rose quickly walked back over to you and Doflamingo. "H-Here my king!" Rose said as she sat her best wine down in front of him. He seemed to have a mocking look on his face.

You looked down and your eyes went to the label. It looked like it was removed and then replaced back on. Your eyes narrowed with suspicion. "Why is the label like that?.." You asked while making eye contact with Rose.

She seemed to gulp a bit. "W-What's wrong with the label?.." Rose asked worriedly. Rose couldn't be trying to poison him. She could have done that the first time he was here.

Doflamingo was watching this little conversation while eyeing up the bottle. You grabbed the bottle and looked at the label. Your eyes widened when you saw there was another label under it.

You took it off and was shocked to see it was some cheap wine that she was going to sell to him for the price of the good kind. Doflamingos eyes narrowed and he glared at Rose.

You realized if you didn't get him out of here he could kill Rose. You quickly grabbed his hand and then got up. "I think we will be leaving now." You said and pulled the angry big bird behind you.

You glanced back at Rose with a frown. "Y/N...Just let me-" "No." You cut him off. His hand tightened on yours and he reluctantly followed you out of the bar.

People were whispering about you two as you walked out. You pulled him off to the side. "If you hurt someone then that can get you into more shit and it'll be harder to save you! Stop." You said with a firm tone.

He groaned and sighed like you just took his fun away, but he understood. "Did you see that!? She was going to try and scam the King! ME!" He said as a vein on his forehead became very visible.

His hands clenched around yours. You sighed. "I...I can make you a drink if ya want." You said with a small smile. "It might not be good but..." You said and his eyes widened.

"That would be..nice." He said and scooped you up. "Was your job in there a bartender?.." He asked you as he took off into the sky. You were used to this by now.

"Yeah." You said as you looked down to admire the view. Your hair kept getting in your face though because of the wind. "She was training me to be one. I made a few drinks. When you saw me I was just cleaning the tables." You said.

He hummed. "I was wondering why you stayed so long after it closed with her.." He said quietly. Your eyes widened. "You were watching me the whole time...Weren't you?" You asked with a raised eyebrow.

"How couldn't I? You weren't from here and weren't in the files!" He said with a small pout.

"I don't know...maybe you could have come up to me like a normal person!" You teased him. He frowned. He then smirked. His hands loosened and then let go of you. Your eyes widened. You were falling.

"Doffy!?" You yelled before he caught you with his strings. You glared up at him. "That little.." You growled. You were then yanked back up into his arms. You gave him a little play smack on the arm.

He looked so proud of himself. "Happy?" You questioned. "Very." He answered. You sighed before he landed on the palace grounds. He sat you down and patted your head.

You sighed again. He was going to be the death of you. You looked around and your body tensed up when you saw Viola. You didn't want to ruin this moment by telling him he had some traitors so you didn't just yet.

He smiled. "So..." He started. "What do you like...?" He asked and he grabbed your hand and pulled you along. You thought for a second. Nothing you used to like was really here that wasn't fruits, or just regular food, or many of the things you liked doing.

"I really like F/f and I like the color F/c." You said just giving him a bit of information. "That's all?.." He asked. "No...But most of the other things you don't have here." You said with a small smile.

He looked to the side. "Well...I can see if my chefs can make that for you.." He said and sighed. "Anything else?" He asked as you walked through the doors to his palace.

Your eyes lit up. "Singing...I like doing that." You said as you looked around for other crewmates. His eyebrows raised. "Singing?.." He said quietly to himself.

"Can you sing right now?.." He asked and stopped walking. You were a bit shy about that. "No...I'd rather not.." You said and fiddled with your fingers a bit. He looked you over. "Come on.." He said and leaned down.

"You can't just keep me wanting to know after that." He said and you shook your head. He frowned and then a sly smirk formed on his face. "I'll just hear you sing later. In my room." He said with that same sly smirk.

You started walking to get away from him. He chuckled. "Sweetheart come back!" He said in a singsong voice. He was acting like Sanji with women and you didn't know if you liked it too much.

"No. Go away you pervert!" You said. As you were speed walking away you didn't even realize there was someone in front of you. You bumped into them. "S-Sorry-" You started to say till you realized you ran into the human version of Pica.

You gulped. Don't talk Pica, don't talk! You were frozen. You didn't know if you'd laugh or not at his voice. Doflamingo saw what was happening and he quickly came over and grabbed you.

His hand covered your mouth. "Doffy." Pica said in his high-pitched voice. You gulped as you felt like laughing, but Doflamingos hand didn't let that happen.

"Yes, Pica?" Doflamingo asked. "Who's the girl?" Pica asked. Doflamingo looked down at you. "Her name is Y/n-" "Oh so one of your playthings at the pool?" Pica asked.

Doflamingo's fists clenched at him calling you that. "She is to be respected!" Doflamingo snapped. Pica looked down at you and up at Doflamingo. "Yes, Doffy." Pica said and walked away.

Never mind...Not in a good mood now. You sighed. "Yeah...Since the mood is ruined now...I should talk about something serious." You said and led him to his room. He sighed. "Yea?" He asked knowing it was going to be bad.

"We have traitors." You said with a grim look.
