Wicken tapped the pen against his mouth as he tried to think of the best place to start up his story again. If what Will had said was true and his words were going to be used as ammo against Layla, he needed to make sure and not leave any details out. At the same time, Will's words about documenting a true account echoed in his mind. If he wanted to, Wicken could tell all kinds of lies about his Gorgachan superiors.
The truth. Her karma will come back and get her without my having to make things up. And yet for some reason he felt bad for the woman. Actually, he felt bad for all of the Gorgachan in general. He'd always been taught that honesty was the best policy, so that was what he would go for – even if some of the secrets he spilled about himself and his friends were far more personal than he ever cared to share with just anyone.
