Chapter 17

"Why would they take him?!" I cried, pounding my forehead with the palms of my hands.

We were sitting in the van, Taeil driving and Pyo in the seat next to him. Jaehyo was on one side of me and Zico was on the other. Minny and Kyung sat across from us. Everyone was watching me panic, except for U-Kwon.

"Relax, Raekyo." Jaehyo rubbed my back gently, "He'll come home today or tomorrow."

I looked at him and narrowed my eyes, "Don't touch me."

He automatically removed his hand, and turned forward again. "Sorry."

I held my head in my hands, thinking of a reason that they'd steal U-Kwon. There had to be something he did that made them take him from the restaurant.

He knew everything. They must've knew that he was aware of everything. Unless they remembered his face from when they came to find me. He was probably being questioned and beaten.

"Raekyo, just calm down. If need be, go to sleep. Don't worry. He'll get home." Zico reassured me, a sad smile added to his words.

I wasn't sure that I believed him. But then again, U-Kwon might've left with someone he knew. It didn't necessarily mean that Jiwon and Sookyo took him.

"I couldn't sleep while our friend is missing."

Jiho shook his head at me and gently pushed my head onto his shoulder. "It's late. Just go to sleep."

I didn't want to do that. I couldn't abandon U-Kwon like that. But I didn't have a choice, because my eyelids were closing anyway out of exhaustion.

"She's still asleep." I could've sworn I heard someone was whispering near me.

"Just carry her in, Jaehyo."

Wait, what?

"She'd kill me if she found out I carried her in." I assume Jaehyo responded.

"Then I'll do it." The second voice sighed, then the person next to moved, probably getting out of the vehicle.

As the second person picked me up, I remembered what happened. I fell asleep in the van on Zico's shoulder. And U-Kwon went missing, and Jaehyo also kissed me earlier.

I didn't object to being carried. I was generally a small person, so unless it was Taeil carrying me, the person wouldn't struggle. I sleepily wrapped my arms around the person and held on for dear life.

After hearing the doors open and close, a new voice, that I recognized as Peniel, said, "Hey guys. Is that Raekyo?"

"Yea, she's asleep." No I'm not.

Peniel gave a short laugh, "Could you tell her tomorrow that I didn't see Hyunsik? Earlier she mentioned that he wasn't texting back, and I checked in. He never came home from work."

"Will do." Whoever was holding me said. Why couldn't I recognize the person?

I opened one of my eyes looked up to check quickly. It was B-Bomb, who I should've assumed it was.

He carried me into the elevator and the door closed. Soon enough, the door dinged and we walked out on our floor. After only a few seconds, he single-handedly opened the door to the apartment then carried me in, shutting the door with his foot.

A new voice questioned, "Why didn't you just wake her up?"

"She's easy to carry. And I thought it'd be easier, since she was so upset about U-Kwon."
