We sat there, eating pancakes in silence. I didn't dare speak. I didn't know anyone at this table well enough to comment on anything. And no one else really talked either, at least not to me.

"I'll kill you, even if it's the last thing I do."

I didn't want to think about it, but I didn't have a choice. My mind was a dangerous place. Even being alone in my thoughts for a minute was a problem for me, and possibly others.

"Jiwon, push me on the swings!" Sookyo yelled to her boyfriend.

Jiwon stood next to the swing, and looked at me. "You wanna swing, RaeRae?"

I grinned at the older boy, my best friend, and shook my head. "I'm good, JiJi."

"Push me, Jiwon! You're my boyfriend, not hers!" Sookyo always got immediately jealous when Jiwon talked to me, no matter if it was even a "hello" or anything.

"Sorry, Sookyo." He apologized, and looked at me, a look as if to say 'What will we ever do with this girl?', and shook his head.

I came over and sat on a swing that was two away from Sookyo, leaving one in the middle of us for Jiwon.

"Raeki, go... uh, see if the food court around the corner is packed or not..." Sookyo said, looking at Jiwon instead of me.

I knew she just wanted me to leave so she could bitch at Jiwon, and I wanted to stay to keep him from getting in trouble, but she wouldn't like me any more if I did. So I just straight up left, not looking back at Jiwon once.

Around the corner, I saw that the food court Sookyo spoke of was half filled, which wasn't bad in our town. So I decided to hide by the corner of the playground and listen in on the bitching.

"How many times do I have to tell you? Don't flirt with my cousin right in front of me! You can't do that!"

"I wasn't flirting! I just didn't want her to feel left out!"

"Let her feel left out! You aren't her actual friend, so why does it matter?"

"She's your cousin! I just don't want her to get upset upset and get in trouble with Uncle Yomi. She's been seeming depressed too, and you really aren't helping."
"What? So you wanna date her?"

"Can't I have friends? I'm with you, and if I wanted to be with Raeki, I would have said something already!"

He knew I was depressed, but he only seemed to care because he didn't want to get in trouble. And that made no sense. So he must've been lying to her, or to me.

"Raekyo!"

I looked up as a piece of pancake fell off my fork and splashed in a puddle of syrup.

Puddles, always being stepped in or being avoided... like me...

"Yea?" I looked back down, because I had no idea who had acknowledged me.

"Did I give you your uniform last night?" Jaehyo asked, and I looked at him, blushing.

"No, you didn't. You gave me blankets, a charger, and Taeil's clothes."

"Alright, I'll walk you down when you're comfortable. Okay?" Jaehyo responded, his mouth half full.

I giggled, "Okay."

And back to the silence...

"Raekyo, where did you live before?" I heard a voice ask. Pyo was looking at me.
