"Raeki, your brother is Kim Yukwon."
The words I heard, I just didn't believe them. They had to be lying. U-Kwon was like a brother to me, but I didn't think he would ever actually turn out to be my relative.
"You think this is funny? Why would you make shit up like that?" It was not me to say it, but U-Kwon himself. He was as shocked as me. He didn't believe any part of this either.
"But we aren't lying to you guys. As stressful as everything is, we wouldn't make shit up and make things worse." Sungjae added, placing his hand on my shoulder.
I have a brother. That part I somewhat believe. But U-Kwon is the brother? We have to be being played or something. We don't look alike, sound alike, or even think alike. Well, we do think alike, but that's not the point.
I just got U-Kwon back, just in enough time for us to fix our friendship, and now we're being told that we were born to the same two people. I wasn't sure if I was upset about this fact or not, but it was very hard to believe.
"You two should believe them." Zico said, "Why would they lie?"
I had to admit that there was no modivation for them to lie. Unless their only other option was to die, but no one would be dying in this situation. So I believed it.
"So.. Yukwon is my brother then..." I mumbled.
Jera and Hyunsik sighed in relief, returning to the living room couches. Sungjae pulled me into a hug, wrapping his arms around me tightly.
"Yah! I'm still protective of her, you know! Back in the day, I was just acting like her brother, but now I actually am, so paws off of my sister." Yukwon shrieked at Sungjae, giving a stone hard glare, then laughed to show he was only kidding.
Sungjae sat with the other two, giving me some time to regroup with the 6 members that I hadn't seen since yesterday. Even one day of separation was too much. But I'd have to get used to it if I was taking off to finish my mission.
"Raeki, come on!" Kyung shouted, "Let's play another board game! Jera kicked our asses at Monopoly last night, and Pyo still hasn't gotten over it."
I held in my laugh and kept my serious posture. I couldn't stay on this bus knowing Sookyo would have the cops on my ass, trying to arrest me for not only 'murder and rape', but now 'kidnapping'. I wasn't risking another member. I couldn't make the same mistakes again.
"I'll play when I get back." I said coolly, heading to the front of the bus to stop the manager.
Before a word left my mouth, Taeil yelled, "Hell no. Where do you think you're going?"
U-Kwon was stunned by Taeil and whined, "No, let me say it. 'Where do you think you're going'?"
I rolled my eyes, shrugging my shoulders afterward. I spoke like it was no big deal, "I'm just going to tell the cops what Sookyo did. I'll see you sometime in the future."
Instantly, the room was filled with shouting and disciplining words to keep me from leaving the bus. Everyone was yelling, of course other than B-Bomb.
No matter if I brought proof of my innocence, apologized for absolutely nothing, or got on my knees and begged for forgiveness, he was going to despise me and keep his words to himself.
It was like I was in love with a criminal. Someone who couldn't tell me anything and just stole my heart and sold it to someone else so he didn't have to deal with it. I was in love with a criminal.
He was staring at me when I looked at him. The shouting continued while we just shared a look, a look explaining absolutely nothing. No one even noticed our stare down, so we were basically just in our own world, but it was not a good thing.
