Their Possession

Twenty Three

Elora was shocked. She didn't expect this. She never thought about her marriage before. Hell, she was not even ready for this. And here they are telling her that her marriage is tomorrow.

"I - I am -" she cleared her throat before drinking some water from the glass trying to delay some time. No way she is going to marry them. She would rather die than marry these two murderers. The murderers who made her kill her best friend.

"No. I can't." She whispered looking down, shaking her head.

Their smile faded and their eyes darkened. She doesn't have any choice in this matter but they want to know the reason.

"And why is that, doll?" Alec asked calmly.

She looked up at them with teary eyes as she was still sitting on the table above them. "Please. I'm just nineteen and I'm too young for marriage. And tomorrow.." She kept shaking her head while silent tears fell from her eyes.

"Tomorrow, you are only going to sign the marriage papers, Elora. The marriage ceremony will officially take place next week."

"No. I can't do this, please try to understand. I was already feeling guilty for killing my friend and if I do this now, it would only get worse." She said softly trying not to provoke them in any way. She was trying everything in her to stop the tears.

Their eyes softened as they shared a glance before Asher took out his phone.

"Doll, we are showing you this because you have every right to know this and you don't have to feel fucking guilty for anyone." Alec said rubbing her both knees with his palm.

Elora looked at him with a frown and took the phone from Asher as he handed it to her. Her eyes widened seeing the video that is playing on the phone.

It was recorded from the CCTV camera in the cell where Thea was tied down on the chair with blood all over her body. Her voice could not be heard clearly as she struggled to speak.

"I was asked to act as her friend so that he could keep a tab on her, that's all I know. She was just my mission which I failed to fucking accomplish." She was breathing heavily in pain.

"By whom?" Asher asked while gritting his teeth. The anger is clear in his voice.

She chuckled "Do you think that I would betray my boss just because you cut off some of my fingers. I would never do that, but I can guarantee you that he will come for her because he is a fucking psycho more than you."

"So you are just a loyal dog who shakes its tail to please their owner huh?" Alec asked tilting his head railing her up.

She glared at him and said "You didn't get it, do you? He is not the one you want to mess with, believe me. He will destroy everything just to have a taste of victory and Elora is not an exception."

Their faces became more hard after hearing her threatening Elora's life, their precious and innocent girl.

Asher went towards her slowly and gripped her cheeks pressing his nails into her skin. She winced in pain as she already has many wounds on her face. He pushed something into her mouth and pulled her teeth with one jerk.

Her throat piercing scream could be heard through the phone and Asher took it away from Elora's hand in time before putting it off and into his pocket.

For a few seconds Elora didn't say anything as they looked at her for any reaction. Then she looked up slowly and asked them the question that they didn't expect.

"Why did you lie to me?" She looked at them without any emotions. Her previous tears were dried to her skin.

Asher sighed before caressing her cheek "You were already upset about your family and we didn't want to upset you more, babygirl."
