"A cake.." I whispered.

I bought one. The seller asked me what they should put in the cake. I wrote it down in a piece of paper they gave to me and gave it to them.

They gave me the cake and I went to the cashier to pay.

I went to the firehouse, but there's no one there. I think they're on a call.

I just went upstairs and left it at the table. I went to my jeep and drove to my apartment. "Damn, I forgot to leave my name in it." I said as I remembered that I didn't put on where it is from. "It's okay, I think they already know." I said to myself.

EDDIE'S POV:

We just came back from a call. I went straight upstairs to drink coffee, when I saw something on the table.

"Hey, did anyone buy a cake?" I said going to the counter and getting coffee.

"I don't know, I didn't buy anything." Bobby said walking in the stairs.

"Was that there before the call?" Chim asked.

"If that was there before, we would've noticed it." I said.

"Maybe someone left it while we were at the call," We all looked at Hen, "Just, open the box so we can see what's written on it!" She said going to the table and opening it.

We all followed, and Hen opened it. "'Sincerely apologizing to Captain Nash and the whole 118, y'all have a great day! Love y'all.' " I read it out loud.

"Woah, that fits in the cake?" Chim said taking a look at the cake.

"Well it's a pretty big cake though." Hen said.

"Do you have any idea who that's from?" Chim said.

"I think I know." Cap said joining in and taking a look at the cake.

"Me too." Hen said.

"Same here." I said.

"What am I missing?" Chim said confused.

"What? You're just gonna stare at the cake until the bell rang?" Cap said.

"Right. I'll get the plates and forks." I said, I was about to get it when the bell rang.

"Oh come on!" Chimney yelled.

Cap chuckled, "Alright, alright, let's go." He said, patting Chim in the shoulder.

BUCK'S POV:

"Just talk to them, Buck." Maddie said on the phone.

"Come on, they asked me to leave when I came to the firehouse and tried to apologize." I said while cooking.

"Maybe it wasn't the right time! Come on! You have to talk to them!" She said.

"Maybe I'll try, but not for now. I know that they're very upset." I sigh, "How far are you?" I added changing the topic.

"I'll be there in ten minutes." She respond.

"Alright, I have to hang up. I need to prepare the food." I said.

"Okay." She said and hung up.

Maddie's going over this morning and eat with me, she said she has something to tell me. She offered that we should just eat in her house but I refused, I mean she's from work, and she's the one who'd be cooking? and she would've been tired after that, anyway, I want her to taste my cooking.
