CHAPTER 8:

— BUCK'S POV —

I'm at my apartment. I was sitting on my couch, watching tv and eating popcorn.

I heard someone knocked on my door. I immediately got up and went to the door and opened it.

"Hey... Eddie." I said when I saw him.

"Hey. Am I interrupting anything?" He asked.

"Uh, no. I'm just chilling." I said, "Come in." I offered and he came in.

He sat on the couch and ate popcorn. "Can I join you? I got bored at my house." He said.

"You want a beer?" I asked.

"Yeah." He said then ate again.

I took two bottles of beer on my fridge, I opened it and I gave it to Eddie and sat with him. I leaned on the couch while drinking my beer.

He put his feet on the coffee table and he leaned to the couch. He put the popcorn on the table and put his hands on the back of my head.

Oh my god...

I stayed very still. Trying to focus on the movie.

How can he just watch TV while I'm here going crazy and blushing?!

Eddie sigh.

"I... have something to tell you." He spoke and sat up.

"I'm listening.." I'm pretty sure that I'm blushing right now.

"I, uh, I li-" We heard a knock on the door.

"I'll take that." I got up, went to the door and opened it.

"Officer... what are you doing here?" I said when I saw the police standing outside.

"I came here to check on you." She said.

"Oh, yeah. Of course come in." I said and she came in.

"Guess you have some company here." She said when she saw Eddie on the couch.

Eddie got up and went to us.

"Eddie Diaz, I'm with the 118. I'm his friend." They shook hands.

"I thought Athena was on this one?" I asked.

"Yeah, I just came to check you. She's on her way-" Someone talked.

"Heard my name." It's Athena with Bobby, Hen, Chim and Maddie.

"Sergeant Grant." She smiled.

"Hey, Athena." Eddie and I both said.

They smiled at us.

"Thank you for checking them, officer." She said and I hugged them.

"Any time, Sergeant. By the way, I gotta go." She left and closed the door.

"Hey, how are you, Buck?" She hugged me.

"Totally fine." I smiled.

"Didn't expect to see you here, Eddie." She looked at him.

"Hey. I just came here to also check on Buck, since Christopher wasn't able to come here because he has school, he asked me to go." He explained.

Athena nodded and turned to me.

"So, I'll be asking you some questions about what happened and what you remember about the accident." She said and we all sat on the couch.

"Where were you before the accident?" She started.

"I was in a mall, buying gifts for Eddie.." I looked at him.

"You can tell me everything you know and you remember, Buck." She said.
