— BUCK'S P.O.V —

I was preparing the papers that were needed for my application. Yep, I'm going to be a firefighter again. Well, it's been months since the accident. Dave didn't get arrested, they moved to his father who's in another country. And the suspect... well, we never heard from him anymore, but the case was still going. And for us? Nothing has changed. The 118, We always hang out, throw parties, go to lunch together, almost getting back to our normal lives. I missed them so much. And when I told you nothing has changed, my feelings for Eddie is also counted.

Eddie called me this morning, he said he wanted to talk to me about something. So, I already finished preparing the papers that were needed for my return. I changed my clothes, from my pajamas to a white t-shirt, jeans, and a brown hoodie jacket. We're meeting at a cafe, not that far from his house.

On the way there, I can't help but wonder 'what is he going to say?'. Well, there's only one way to find out. I arrived at the cafe. I was just waiting for him.

"Hey, Buck." I turned around.

It's Eddie.

"Did I make you wait long?" He asked and sat down.

"Uh, no, no." I smiled.

He was wearing a white shirt, jeans, and a jacket.

Damn, he looked good..

"Done checking me out?" I heard whispered.

"What?" I secretly smirked.

He looked at me. "I said; are you done... ordering." He said.

That is not what I heard that he said earlier, but okay. I'll just... go with the flow~~

"Oh, yeah. It should be here any minute. But I'm not actually sure how you take it now, so I just... guessed." I said.

I really don't have any idea what kind of coffee he drinks now, so I just ordered the same coffee he always ordered a few years back.

"It's okay." He smiled at me, "I just hope you're a good guesser." He smirked.

"Of course." I smiled back.

Damn. He is so freaking handso– Stop yourself right there Buckley.

"Oh, there it is." I said as soon as I saw the waiter walking to us.

"There you go, sir." The waiter put down our coffee on the table.

"Thanks." I said and he left.

"Shall we?" I said giving Eddie his coffee.

He took it and looked at me again. "Let's see how good of a guesser are you.." He drank the coffee.

His eyes slightly widened as he tasted the coffee.

"Well?" I said.

"You remembered." He looked at me, "Turns out you're a good guesser, Buckley." He smiled looking at me as he took another sip of the coffee.

I smiled back.

What the heck are you doing, Buck?? Ask him why he wanted to see you!!

— EDDIE'S P.O.V —

I can't believe he remembered. I took another sip of the coffee.

Delicious..

"By the way," He cleared his throat, "You said you're going to tell me something. What is it?" He asked.

Right. That is why I wanted to talk to him in a nice place without my son interrupting us.

"Yeah, umm.." I was thinking of a better way to say it and not to sound very desperate. "I just want to tell you something without Christopher interrupting." I said.

— BUCK'S P.O.V —

He let out a big sigh and put his coffee down.

"So, you know, when you left us.."  His voice became serious. "Things got a little.. out of hand, I guess? We feel... incomplete. The team felt off without you. We were all missing the only firefighter at the firehouse who never think before he go," He said and I chuckled.

"When Shannon died I didn't know what to do. You know, losing someone you love, someone who makes you happy is the worst. And that is what we felt for four years, Buck. I'm-I'm not trying to make you feel bad, I'm just.. telling you what we felt from all those years that you're not here.. with us." He continued.

"Hey," I held his hand, "I'm sorry I made you all feel that way. I-I just thought that you may need some time to heal... But maybe I gave you too much time to heal to the point that I'm the one who needed healing." I said.

He put his other hand on top of mine and spoke. "It's okay.." He said, "It's not the same thing I felt when you left us, when you left me." His sounded hurt. Really hurt.

"Uh, what?" I asked confusedly.

He let go of my hands and sat back.

"Do you remember after your accident, when I came to your apartment?" He asked me.

"Uh, y-yeah, why?" I said.

"I was supposed to tell you this. This same conversation we're having right now." He looked at me deeply.

"Eddie, I'm-I'm so confuse. Just tell me what's going on here and I–"

"I like you, Evan." He said.
