— BUCK'S P.O.V —
Eddie and I were sitting in Athena's station, waiting for her to finish talking to the other officers.
I still could get over the fact that my own friend would do something like this. And he likes me?? Maybe that was why he was always bringing food or finding ways to hang out with me when I was just renting a house near him. But him liking me doesn't change a thing. I was still gonna press charges, I mean we already did. But he was going to jail, that's for sure.
I felt Eddie's hand patting mine and we stood up when we saw Athena coming.
"He admitted everything." Athena announced. "Stabbing you, breaking into your apartment and shooting Eddie."
I let out a sigh.
"I hope you didn't change your mind after what he said–" I cut her short and spoke.
"No mind is changing here. Him liking me won't change my mind. He's going to jail." I said in one breath.
"Good." Athena gave me a smile and nodded.
She just gave us some papers to sign, we talked a bit and finally, we said our goodbyes.
— EDDIE'S P.O.V —
We walked out of the hospital, there was silence as we walked. When we reached the parking lot, I broke the silence.
"Are you okay?" I asked him and he looked at me.
He gave me a little smile and said, "Yes, I'm all good. What about you?"
"I'm fine." I said.
We got in the car, but before I even started the engine, Buck spoke.
"Someone's coming tomorrow to fix my door. I think I'll hang out with Jee-Yun tomorrow at Maddie's house." He announced.
"Okay. Just call when you need me. Anytime, anywhere, I'll come." I said.
"Thanks." He gave me a smile.
The whole ride to my house, we talked about going back to work. Athena suggested earlier that Buck should stay out of work for a few weeks or months because of his trauma. But me, as soon as my gunshot wound would be healed I wanna go back to work. They all agreed including Buck.
I wanted to go back as soon as possible because I was planning on surprising Buck for his birthday.
I really hope he'd like it...
