I've seen your eyes before,
Lurking in my nightmares,
Hollow, Sunken,
Frightening.
You lurk where no one looks,
And hide there still,
Your hideous whisper,
Beckoning me,
Closer to you,
And to my demise.
You pierce me with,
The wrath of your fangs and claws,
I try,
To run and hide,
But who can truly escape,
Their own fear,
Clinging to them,
Like a bad memory locked up inside,
Their imagination,
And incased in a trap,
Of their own making?
You are my greatest fear,
The worst nightmare I ever imagined,
And you haunt me,
Every second of every day,
Screaming at me incessantly.
I wish I could will you away,
My greatest burden,
My worst nightmare,
The most frightening monster I've,
Ever beheld,
And I could have to,
Were not for your presence,
Always lingering,
At the back of my mind.
