The next morning Rick, Daryl, Hershel and I set out to meet with this 'Governor' to try and work out some sort of...compromise. To be honest, I think it's a load of bullshit, but Andrea was persistent.
I hopped out of the suv, with an automatic rifle in hand. I immediately followed behind Daryl while Rick told Hershel to stay with the car. We navigated our way through the huge metal silos with our weapons raised, ready to take out any threat, dead or alive.
I saw Daryl stop, looking down at the ground. When I got close enough I saw that it was a downed walker. Rick rushed past Daryl, heading for the wooden building him and the Governor was supposed to meet in. I had gotten a bad feeling when I saw Daryl raise his finger to see that the walkers blood was fresh, meaning we weren't here first.
Rick looked back at us, pointing down the side of the building. Daryl quietly ran down the side of the building with me following behind. Daryl stopped underneath a window, putting out his hand to get me to stop.
I stopped beside him, flickering my eyes between him and the window above him. He slowly peeked his head over the ledge of the window.
"What's going on?" I whispered
"He's already in there." He whispered back.
"What?" I asked, not feeling good about this situation.
After a moment of him listening in he backed away from the window, "C'mon."
We walked around to the front side of the building, Hershel pulling up in the suv.
"He was already in there. Sat down with Rick." He told Hershel.
"I don't see any cars." Hershel stated, as he looked around the area in front of him.
I fidgeted on my feet, "I don't like this. He wouldn't have came here alone."
"Yeah, it don't feel right." Daryl said, keeping his eyes on his surroundings. "Keep it runnin'."
I could hear the roaring sound of a car approaching. All of our heads snapping to the direction of the sound.
"Heads up." Daryl said tapping the hood of the suv.
I raised the rifle, taking aim at the tan suv that pulled up in front of the building. Two men, one who looked like a military wanna be, the other looked like an uppity man, with his shirt tucked in, and glasses resting on his face got out of the car. From the other side I saw Andrea making her way around to the front of the car.
"What the hell? Why's your boy already in there?" Daryl asked, with his crossbow still trained on the two men.
"He's here?" Andrea questioned.
I saw the military wanna be face turn into a smirk as he looked at Andrea.
She sighed, and marched her way into the wooden building. I kept my eyes on the two men, the military wanna be was staring daggers at Daryl, while the other scribbled in his notebook.
"Maybe I should go inside." Hershel suggested to Daryl.
"The Governor thought it be best if he and Rick spoke privately." The man with the glasses said.
"Who the hell are you?" Daryl asked, tilting his head to the side.
"Milton Mamet."
"Great. He brought his butler." Daryl sneered.
"I'm his advisor." He kept scribbling in his notebook, not looking up.
"What kind of advice are you giving him?" I asked, causing him to stop writing, and to look directly at me.
