Darkness came quick, it was decided that Randall would meet his fate tonight. Daryl had suggested that I stay back at camp, which I didn't mind. What I did mind however, was when Rick came walking back to camp with Carl at his side,

"We're keepin' him in custody for now." Rick announced to the group.

Andrea stood up, "I'm gonna find Dale."

"Carl, go inside." Lori told Carl without taking her eyes off of Rick.

Carl did as he was told, going inside the tent the Grimes family shared.

"He followed us. He wanted to watch. I couldn't." Rick explained.

Lori cupped Ricks face in her hands, "That's okay." She reassured him.

I shook my head, sitting down in a lawn chair, Daryl came up behind me placing his hand on my shoulder before sitting down beside me.

Before anything could be said, a man screams could be heard echoing throughout the night. I jumped up taking the pistol out of my waistband and started running towards the screams.

"T-dog, get a shotgun now!" Rick instructed.

"Jo!" Daryl hollered after me, but I just kept running further and further out into the field.

As I got closer, I could see Dale on the ground with a walker on top of him, Daryl managed to run past me, getting to Dale before me. he tackled the walker off of Dale, stabbing it in the skull. I ran up to Dale and was taken aback at the sight I was looking at.

"Oh god." I whispered.

The walker literally ripped open Dales abdomen, all of his organs were on full display for everyone to see. My hand that wasn't holding my gun flew to my mouth in horror.

"Get Hershel! He needs blood. We got to operate now." Rick ordered.

"Hang on Dale." Andrea fell to her knees beside Dale.

He nodded as panic took over his form.

"Listen to me. Okay, listen to my voice." Rick instructed Dale. "Hershel!"

Hershel ran from the farm house out into the field, "What happened?"

Hershel immediately saw what exactly happened, He bent down exempting how extensive the wound was. Dale started gurgling on his own blood.

"Can we move him?" Rick asked.

"He won't make the trip." Hershel said looking to Rick.

Rick placed his hand on Hershels shoulder, "You have to do the operation here. Glenn get back to he house!"

Hershel now placed his hand on Ricks shoulder, "Rick." Rick looked at Hershel who was shaking his head.

"No!" Rick shouted.

Tears were welling up in my eyes, as I knew Hershel wouldn't be able to help Dale. Dale was groaning in agony, he was still gurgling on his own blood.

"He's suffering." Andrea said quietly. "Do something!"

Rick unholstered his gun and aimed it at Dales head. "Oh god." I said turning around, my hand still covering my mouth.

Rick was struggling behind tears to pull the trigger, his hands here shaking. Daryl walked up, slowly taking the gun out of his hands. Rick didn't put up a fight. Daryl kneeled down beside Dale, placing the gun on his head again,

"I'm sorry, brother."

I jumped when the gunshot went off.

All that could be hear in the night was the sound of our sobs.
