"Do you really need to record this?"
I was back in Deanna's house, she had said she needed to have a word.
"It's about the job for you." She smiled. "I hear you are exceptionally good beyond the walls. Even taught yourself how to use the sword."
I shrugged, "When you're out there, you pick up on a few things. Noise attracts them, so it's better to have a silent weapon."
"But that sword isn't just any ordinary sword. Is it?"
"What are you getting at?" I asked impatiently.
"Just building rapport." She folded her hands together, innocently.
I shifted uncomfortably in the seat, "It was my brothers. Our grandfather gave it to him."
She hummed in response, "I think you'd benefit from working on the supply runs, and keeping this place safe. What do you say?"
I smiled uncomfortably, "Wherever you need me."

"Supply runs?" He asked.
After meeting with Deanna, I found Daryl sitting on the porch working on his crossbow.
"Yeah, I mean I've done them before and always came back in one piece." I shrugged.
He looked up at me through his strains of hair, "Just keep comin' back in one piece."
I stepped towards him, cupping his cheeks in my hands before placing a gently kiss to his lips. "Of course I will. I have something to keep coming back to."
When I pulled away, he stared into my eyes before shaking his head, turning his attention back to his cross bow. "You're trouble. Go on."
I giggled, descending down the steps, "I'll be back, soon."
"Be safe." He said from the porch.
"Always am!" I shouted back to him as I walked down the street to meet up with Aiden, Deanna's son.

"Glenn, Tara, Jordyn, Noah?" A young guy pointed at each of us, "Nice to meet you. I'm Aiden. You met Nicholas pulling gate duty."
"You're Deanna's son?" Glenn asked.
"That's right. I hear you guys got experience on making supply runs." Aiden said.
"I saw your pantry. You guys seem to do pretty well." Glenn commented.
"Yea, well, had some training before this." Aiden puffed out his chest, "ROTC. Was nearing lieutenant when this shit blew in."
"My dad did ROTC." Noah said.
"He didn't make it?" Aiden asked.
Noah shook his head.
"I'm sorry." Aiden said, "I'm sorry a lot these days. Come on I'll show you the ropes."
"We're doing a run today?" I asked as he walked past me.
"Just a dry run. Show you the terrain outside the walls, see how you do. Weigh each other's sack a little, you know?" He smirked.
I looked to Tara, "No, we don't, but cool." She responded with a fake smile.
"What about weapons?" Glenn asked.
