MINJI POV
The next day mother took me shopping because she wanted me to dress like a proper university student. That means I bought more hoodies, sweats, jeans, shoes, and sadly formal attire. She wanted me prepared for every occasion because me and Taehyung would be sent to family gatherings in their place.
As much as I hate dresses she let me get dress pants and blazers too, I did not complain once. I got into the dressing rooms at least fifty times that day but I was too grateful to even say anything.
The day after that I was brought to the doctors to make sure I was healthy and all my vaccines and checkups were updated because my mother was not sending a sick child away.
After days of preparing and lots of money later it was the day of my flight. I couldn't help but feel sad because I wouldn't be near my family. I was going to miss them but I knew for sure my mother would demand me to call her at least three to five times a week so it was okay. My dad would probably ask my mother how I was doing but I'll make sure to text him too. Minjung was just her usual bitchy self rolling her eyes at me and walking away.
I think she's either jealous because our parents' attention has been on me this past week or she's sad she has no one to bully. Most likely a mix of both but it's okay because I know she's going to bother me over the phone when I'm gone. I haven't talked to her all day today. I was busy packing my stuff.
Apparently my room is turning into her walk-in closet or game room. Whichever seems more appealing to her. She was downstairs in the kitchen the whole time probably making a mess.
I am going to miss her and Keeho the most. The annoying ones make life feel empty when they're gone.
We were about five minutes away from the airport and she was just playing on her phone. Keeho was here sitting beside us because he wanted to see me off too. His mom gave me a little bag with apples for my flight because she told me plane food is nasty.
The car ride had some sort of deja vu to it, but now I'm going back. I stared up at the clouds which were forming different types of weird looking creatures. The three of us argued whether it was a bear or a bunny.
We unloaded my things and walked into the airport to meet my brother and Jennie unnie. I didn't recognize my brother at first because he had his hair dyed to a milk tea looking blond. Our flight leaves in an hour but my mother insisted that we come early.
After chatting for a while until it was time to say our goodbyes. Mom cried and grabbed both me and Taehyung and pulled us into a big hug. Jennie unnie must've found this cute because I could hear her camera clicking. Dad hugged me too and told me to behave.
Keeho pulled me into a big bear hug. "Promise me that you will tell me everything that happens" He said and hugged me tighter.
"I promise, now can you let go before I die of suffocation" I said playfully rolling my eyes.
"Everything Minji, I mean EVERYTHING. Like for example if you and a certain viet girl decide to hook up at a bar..." he whispered into my ear and I pushed him off.
He looked at me with a smirk on his face and I was probably blushing madly. "You know I'm not going to do that, but sure." I replied, still embarrassed.
