HANNI POV

Today is our end-of-the-year concert.

The last day was filled with no work and fun. The dance team just performed and we're up next. We were all going to sing together for the last song. Well, except Minji, she was going to play the guitar.

Count on Me by Bruno Mars. A perfect closing song. The message behind it was cute. We all practiced hard. This had to be good because this was going to be our school's last gathering and some of the member's last performance.

Two weeks ago I had a talk with Chaewon. I wanted to practice another song for our graduating members and obviously for Minji. This would be our last gift to them.

*Flashback*

"Have you decided on the song Hanni?"

"I want us to sing Good Old Days by Macklemore"

"I've never heard that, let's listen to it" I played the song on my phone while Chaewon looked at the lyrics.

"Wow Hanni this song is perfect, let's just change up the rap to fit our style. Yunjin could help with the lyrics."

"That's perfect, I also have another request."

"Sure, what is , it Hanni?"

"Can we not tell Minji?"

"I figured you would say that, is this your goodbye song for her?"

"Noooo it's for Yeji and Lia unnie" I lied

"It's okay Hanni, we'll all miss her. But if you want to practice this we need to meet secretly"

"Of course, thank you so much"

"Also Hanni, you can start and end the song. It would be more meaningful if you did that."

*End of flashback*

I practiced for days on end. This is us sending Minji away. Who knows what will happen when she leaves?

She might find better friends and forget us. She might find a new boyfriend or girlfriend. I didn't want to think about it but that's all that's been occupied my mind.

So my logic was that if she ever did want to move on from us then she could at least have a good memory of it. So that if we didn't work out she wouldn't regret it. I want her to look back and have only good things to say.

The song was way too long to practice so we cut it down. Chaeryeong had the middle chorus as a solo, she was also excited when I told her about my idea. Her best friends were graduating so this also meant a lot to her.

Yesterday was our last secret practice and we recorded the song. When we played it out loud everyone broke down. The song was so sad, especially when you understood why we were singing it.

They were leaving us. But it was okay. Yeji and Lia were staying in Korea. Minji on the other hand...
