Again

HANNI POV

While the four of us make our way to the mall, I talk with Chaewon while the boys lead the way and laugh about something.

"How have you been?" I ask to kill the silence

"I've been well. I haven't spoken with you properly since P.E. How have you been?"

"Doing good but school has been boring lately"

"Tell me about it! Lunch is my escape. It's the only time of day when I feel like my brain isn't dead. I always hang out with Sakura, Kazuha, Yunjin, and Eunchae. You know them right?"

"Yeah I remember them! I haven't seen them in a while. The only one I see is Yunjin, and that's when she's with Minji"

"Oh. Yeah those two have gotten close, Yunjin stopped eating with us because they're always together" she said with a hint of sadness.

"Maybe they're dating!?" I say as a joke thinking of how funny that would be

"Maybe..." is all I get as a reply. She probably misses Yunjin.

After a while we get to the mall and wander around the shops for a while. There wasn't anything good here. Niki kept trying on hats and asking me to rate them. I'm not even gonna lie, he looked super cute. His gummy smile makes my heart beat faster than it should.

He looked especially handsome when he wore this cute duck hat. Matching his playful demeanor, the hat made him look even better. I took so many pictures of him I was surprised how my storage didn't give up on me.

Jake and Chaewon were in the corner giggling about something. It really is couple season. Jake and Chaewon, Minji and Somi, and hopefully Niki and I.

"Guys I'm hungry let's go grab some food" Jake announces so we make our way out of the shop.

I wasn't too hungry and nor was Niki but we felt bad for Jake so we decided to tag along. They left the store first because they didn't buy anything but I really wanted to get Niki the hat so I told him to wait outside for me.

I bought the hat and handed it to him. He was so excited that he hugged me out of nowhere and I felt my cheeks heat up at the contact. Jake and Chaewon were already out of sight so we walked to the food court to meet them.

Once I turn the corner I see Jake and Chaewon standing near the trash. Why? No clue. He should've lined up for his food already. As we near them I see two tall girls get up and walk in our direction but I don't pay attention because I just assume they're throwing their trash out. That was until I heard their voices.

"Hey babe" I knew who that was. There was no mistaking her deep voice. Why is she even here?

"When are you free for our next date? I want you to meet my parents" I look up and I see Minji walking hand in hand with Yunjin. Oh- that's why.

I thought Minji was with Somi? Why is she also with Yunjin, that doesn't make sense. WHY DIDN'T SHE TELL US??? I've never seen Minji act so sweet around someone before. She must really like Yunjin. But she was also sweet over the phone with Somi!

I looked over at Chaewon and she was staring into the back of Yunjin's head like she was trying to burn a hole through it.
