The race went well, nothing special. A race in Monaco was never too special - you just couldn't really overtake.

I ended where I started the race and so did Charles. Not that I cared about him at all.

The only thing I cared about now was going to see Nova.

Charles and her were inseparable this weekend, he was always by her side. Always laughing together.

I hated that.

But tonight, she was mine. She was gonna spend time with me.

We decided to meet each other at the harbor, we used to look at the stars there.

It was the perfect place.

She was already sitting down on the edge of the wall, she was kicking her feet a little as she looked at the yachts.

I sat down next to her. Didn't ask my usual question. Didn't feel like it.

We sat down next to each other for a while, in complete silence.

It wasn't weird, wasn't awkward. I guess we both needed that silence.

"You wanna talk about it?" I asked. I didn't need to explain about what. She knew what I meant.

She never gave me a chance to explain, probably because she knew the reason behind it all.

No one knew about what happened before that night. No one knew why she didn't come out that night.

Not the real reason at least.

They all thought she was sick - laying in my bed.

She wasn't sick.

"I-I don't-" she sighed and looked down. "Yes"

"I obviously don't wanna act as if I wasn't in the wrong, because I was" I started. "But I was so completely heartbroken"

"Lando, that's not a rea-" she sighed again, still not looking at me. "That's not a reason to cheat, I know" I said softly.

But unfortunately being heartbroken and drunk is a stupid combination.

"I just had the feeling I would never be good enough for you" I put my hand in my pocket. "I told Billie what happened because she saw how sad I was, she told me you definitely didn't see yourself spending your life with me"

Nova chuckled, a sarcastic chuckle.

"I obviously know now that she was just trying to rile me up"

But I didn't realize it back then.

"I still want you to have it" I said as I put the box on her lap. "I bought it for you - I don't want to give it to someone else"

She looked down at the little box. "Lando - I can't-"

"Please Nova, I am not asking you to wear it. It just belongs to you" I shrugged. "You can do whatever you want with it, throw it away, sell it - it's just yours"

She finally looked at me and I realized why she wasn't looking at me before. She had tears in her eyes. "I am sorry Lando"

"So am I" I looked back at her.

I put my hand on her cheek, wiped away a tear with my thumb and smiled a little. "I will miss you"

"I am not going back to Australia" she mumbled. "Yet"

"Okay" I nodded.

She looked away, wiping away the rest of her tears. "I am going back pretty soon though"

I nodded again. "Okay"

She put her head on my shoulder and looked up, at the stars and so did I.

"Oh my God" she pointed at the sky. "Was that a falling star?"

Pretty sure it wasn't but I still nodded.

"Make a wish" I said, nudging her. She closed her eyes and looked back at me. "You too"

I chuckled. "Okay" I said as I closed my eyes as well.

We opened our eyes at the same time and looked in each other's eyes. "I wished for something beautiful" she said.

I smiled. "Me too"
