PRESENT TIME
Adam's POV
"How hard is it to fucking babysit my sister?" Julian paced around the room.
"Yeah well, she's a little brat" I shrugged my shoulders. "Running away at night, when someone wants to kill her, how old is she?"
"Wait hold up" Matt blinked his eyes a few times. "You are dead" he pointed at Julian.
Julian just looked at him and rolled his eyes.
"You didn't even tell him what the plan was?" Julian looked at me. "No, Nova was around us all the time"
"Am I the only one who sees Julian right now?" Matt looked at Peter and I. "Guys?"
Julian sighed.
"Hey, it was your idea to take him" I held my hands up.
Matt wasn't the sharpest pencil in the box, but to be honest, I would be in shock too if I thought Julian was dead and all of a sudden he was standing in front of me.
We just needed to buy some time until Julian was fully healed.
Which he still wasn't, but we didn't have a choice right now.
Didn't care about lying to Matt and the rest of the guys. Hated that I had to lie to Nova.
But we had to do it, Jayden would never believe Julian actually died when she wasn't sad.
And if there was one thing that Nova couldn't do, then it was lie.
"Can someone explain this shit to me?" Matt raised his voice. "You were dead" he pointed at Julian. "And you were heartbroken over his death" he pointed at me.
"He shot me" Julian said as he pulled his shirt up. "Not at the right spot though"
"And you knew?" Matt looked at me. I shrugged my shoulders. "Don't know why you're in this business, you should be an actor"
I chuckled. "Thanks mate"
"Okay" Julian cleared his throat. "Enough flirting, can we get a move on?"
"Sorry if I needed a minute dude, I thought I saw your ghost" he patted Julian's back. Damn sure he did that to make sure he was actually real.
"We don't know where he is though" I said.
"But I do" Julian smiled. "Let's go"
All of us grabbed our guns, walking after Julian. We didn't know what the plan was, nor did we know where Jayden was.
But we trusted him - we all did.
"Can you believe these guys? Lying to us the entire time" Matt asked Peter, who just looked at him and raised his eyebrow.
"Wait, you knew too?" Matt looked at Peter.
Julian and I just chuckled as we walked out together.
"Unbelievable" Matt muttered as he walked behind us.
"Good to have you back" I looked at Julian.
"Yeah same" he flinched a little. Yeah he definitely wasn't fully healed, but I was gonna pretend as if I didn't notice. "Can't wait to get this over with and win my girl over again"
And definitely not gonna tell him that his girl no longer was his girl.
I didn't need a weak Julian right now. I needed the Julian who killed his dad without blinking his eyes.
I needed him to kill Jayden for more reasons than I could give him.
