"I am going to grab coffee with my friends, do you wanna come babe?" Sofia asked as she walked in the living room.
She always wanted me to come with her - which was understandable because I was her boyfriend.
I always went with Nova if she wanted me there, she always chilled with my friends as well.
That's how our friends became friends with each other as well.
Well - until that night everything exploded.
"No I don't feel like it" I looked up at her. "Besides Julian is here" I pointed at Julian who was laying on the couch.
Julian came over a lot the past couple of days. I guess Piper and him got in a fight or something - normally they were quite inseparable.
But I didn't mind him coming over a lot. He was chill to hang out with. Didn't ask questions about Nova all the time.
Also because he knew what happened that night - quite sure Nova told him.
"He can come with us" she smiled a little, even blushed a little when he looked up at her. "No thanks"
"Whatever" she shrugged it off with a smile. "I am flying to my parents later, so I probably won't see you until after your race"
"Oh right" I said as I stood up, walked up to her and hugged her.
Like she was a friend who was going back after visiting me.
"Tell them I said hi" I smiled.
She pressed her lips against mine. "I will and good luck baby" she mumbled on my lips, let her hand brush down my arm.
"Bye Jules" she waved at Julian. He didn't say anything back - just flicked his hand a little.
Jules? Really? She gave him a nickname?
"No offense mate, but you should really dump her" he said as soon as she left. "She would suck my dick without a second thought and you wouldn't even care"
"That's not true" I scoffed.
"No you're right" He sat up, grabbed his phone and didn't even look at me. "You would feel bad for Piper"
And I just looked at him because he was right.
"Anyways, I can't join dinner tonight" he put his phone in his pocket. "Someone important came up" he winked and hugged me goodbye.
Guess Piper won't be joining dinner either.
Felt like canceling dinner too, it would only be Max, Kelly and I.
Talk about third wheeling.
But I wasn't gonna cancel without reason - it was something we always did, for years now.
Even though this dinner would be very plain and boring again.
Nova left so I had no one to flirt with anymore, no one to catch glances with.
No one who would ask me if I liked her dress or if I want to have sex with her.
God - my heart skipped several beats in that moment.
If Sofia wouldn't have interrupted us, I would probably have picked her up, kissed the shit out of her and took her back home with me.
Not to have sex with her - but to kiss, cuddle, touch her all over her body.
Which would probably have let to love making either way.
Maybe it would've convinced her to stay, maybe it would've make her run even faster.
Who knows.
It honestly didn't matter anymore. I wasn't gonna break up with Sofia.
Nova fucking left without saying goodbye after - what I thought - was a beautiful moment between us.
I didn't ask for much, just a hug goodbye.
And she couldn't even give me that.
