If Jayden ever asks, Lando never invited me to that Richard Mille event.
He did but I pretended to be sick that night. I couldn't go through with the plan.

I thought Julian was on my side, thought it was a stupid plan as well but then he showed up in Monaco.
Made his way into Lando's and Piper's heart.
This time, I couldn't pretend to be sick, Lando invited me to this event when Jayden and Julian were at the same table.
I had to say yes.
So I was now standing in the middle of the room, lost in thoughts, thinking how I could get out of this.
I can lie and tell them we didn't go? But there would be pictures.
Fuck it, I was just gonna grab Lando and tell him we need to go.
"Enjoying yourself?" Someone said from beside of me.
Adam. What the fuck was he doing here?
"What are you doing here?" I said as calmly as I could.
"Julian send me"
Of course he did.
"How did you even get in?" I asked.
He shrugged. "Don't question my abilities little Hayes"
"I don't wanna do this Adam - I can't" I sighed.
He nodded. "I know"
If he knew, then what was he doing here? Being loyal to Julian? Probably.
I looked at Lando, he was talking to some people, probably rich important people.
But he was also looking over at me sometimes.
Just giving me little smiles from time to time.
I turned to Adam. "I can't do this, so you tell Julian that he ca-"
"Julian doesn't want you to do this either, you idiot" Adam interrupted me.
"Wait what?"
He sighed. "Do you really think Julian wants to steal from Lando?"
"Yeah well - he's being suspicious lately" I shrugged.
I've been thinking about it a lot. Ever since I started dating Lando for real, he's been so involved with Lando.
Hanging out with him without me, inviting him to trips, being all friendly with him, going to our traditional dinners.
"He's been trying to-" Adam wanted to explain but got interrupted by Lando.
He put his arm around my waist and kissed my cheek.
He nodded at Adam but turned his attention back to me. "You wanna get out of here?"
"Yes" I immediately said. "Goodbye Adam"
But I was kinda suspecting that this wasn't the last time I was gonna see him.
Lando held my hand and walked outside with me. "Where are we going?" I asked.
"Remember the night when you showed up in Monaco?" He asked, looking at me with a smile.
Yes I do remember.
We started walking, in silence, because sometimes that was exactly what we needed.
And we stopped in front of a laundromat.
Laundromats probably didn't mean shit to anyone else, but to us, it meant everything.
"I am taking you back" he rubbed his thumb against my hand. "Back to that night"
I guess it was as special to him as it was to me.
It was that night, that kiss, that made me realize I wanted a normal life.
I was no longer a Hayes - or at least not part of that family.
I cut Julian out - thinking he was the reason why I had to do this.
But I wasn't so sure now.
He pulled me inside, holding my hands in his. He once again projected the stars on the ceiling and walls.
Ever since that night I told him I couldn't marry him, he always asked how the stars were.
'The stars don't look right'
"How are the stars Nova?" He smiled, looking at me.
I couldn't tell him how good the stars looked like right now.
"I love you so much Nova" he said, pulling something out of his pocket.
"Lando..-"
"Don't worry - I won't ask you to marry me" he chuckled. "Yet"
He opened my hand and put something inside of it.
