Matt addressed the Nine and the SP council, saying: "We are still in the world of the living, even though this was possibly the most vicious attack in human history."
"Humankind did not even have time to run from this attempted genocide and had we tried to escape, we would be nothing but atoms now. Once more, we adapted as a team and survived. We can thank Graviton technology, amazing inspiration and team planning from both Luna and Eden. SP1, take over."
SP1 moved to a position that was easily visible to all present and said: "After the destruction of our Solar System, nothing remained except two cone-shaped groups of SP graviton spaceships and one solid ball of pure blackness where our sun once provided life-giving heat."
"The reptilian enemy is long gone, thank goodness, so Adara's effort to defeat them wasn't wasted. We know that unknown aliens created the Supernova to destroy humanity, but we don't know why, yet."
"We have a new enemy. An enemy who is so powerful and evil that they will reduce an entire system to atoms, rather than establish dialogue. There can be no misunderstanding the intent of a species that will attack another without provocation, and in such an horrific way."
SP1 continued, saying: "Most of you know this science, but I want to press home the extent of this crime. The Enemy turned our Sun into atoms and then, destroyed those atoms, leaving nothing but a hungry black hole of pure Neutronium in its place."
"Neutronium is so dense that it has its own powerful gravity influence. Everything around it is drawn in, and as the captured matter smashes to atoms against the neutronium core, the enormous pressure applied to the impacting atoms forces them to release their electrons and protons in atomic detonation. The remaining neutrons become fused with other neutrons that form the growing core of the Black Hole."
"This particular core we have surrounded, is new. It has had no time to attract elements that can be compressed against it. Instantly, it began exerting gravity influence on local space and it will continue to grow, and there is really nothing out there that can stop it."
SP1 continued with: "Humankind did not flee from this Black Hole in fear as did the attacking aliens. Instead, we raced toward it, surrounded it with the ultimate care and precision, and we now control it."
SP1 bowed and said: "That's it for me, Storm, it's your turn?"
Storm stood and bowed, then said: "Thankyou SP1. Capturing the heart of a Black hole of microscopic size is no easy task for just one ship, and yet, we managed to control a core that is slightly less than five hundred metres in diameter. The Luna and Eden colonies stayed out of the way, leaving the job to more than two hundred SP ships that have extended their Graviton fields to encompass the core."
"Essentially, SP ships have become Black Hole containment projectors such as the ones deployed by SP1 to contain the first Black Hole produced by a human. Once containment was achieved, and the core controlled, I'm relieved to report that the Black Hole has zero effect on surrounding space."
"All the SP ships around it can draw power from its oscillation just like standard containment graviton projectors. The Graviton ships will continue to contain the Black Hole it in this manner until we consider how or even if we can use it."
Calemon raised her hand, and Storm acknowledged her. Then Calemon asked: "Storm, now that the core is neutralised, can we move it, or must it stay in place forever."
Storm said: "We don't really know yet. The ships containing the core are focussed on manufacturing multi-directional Graviton projectors, big enough to replace themselves in the core containment network, but honestly, we will find out soon. One thing is certain. We're sitting ducks if we stay here. Moving is our number one priority as soon as we can do so, safely."
