Eden and her full fleet of thirteen hundred, Graviton warships, waited outside the warehouse with the Emissary Hive and 'its' one thousand-strong fleet of Warships. Sharon, Joshua, Susan, SP1, the SP2 Avatar, Steve, Hymie, Eden, Calemon and Adara, accompanied Matt in his shuttle to the airlock on the left side of the Warehouse. Eden Colony could have fitted inside the airlock easily.
Matt said: "I feel a little dwarfed and insignificant right now, compared to this warehouse. Its size is a little intimidating. Jesus, what if I'm the wrong person to be doing this?"
Adara said: "The Emissary Queen said she would wait here just to make sure the Administrator is the correct person. She said the warehouse controller will only permit a person from the species that has been selected to be the Keeper of Seeds. She also said that after this test, there is only one agenda item left. Then they are free to move on to their next employment role as planned."
Matt said: "Oh well, nothing of value was ever gained by doing nothing, so I'm leaving now. See you all when I come back out."
Matt exited the shuttle's airlock into the vacuum of space that separated him from the warehouse. In Matt's Nanite body, there was no need to harness of clip onto safety lines as he was competent with Graviton motion.
He slid through the vacuum of space over the intervening distance then stopped at the required ten metres from the side of the warehouse. Then the tingling started, and Matt knew he was being interrogated by the warehouse controller.
Matt said: "They are scanning me, but we already know they will fail."
Adara said: "Has the tingling stopped yet, Administrator? They may identify you by the inability to scan,"
Matt answered: "Yes, just now it stopped. I guess that's it. I'll come back in... Hang on a minute, there is an eerie glow interacting with my Graviton field that is holding me in place."
Then Matt announced: "No it is pulling me into the wall." Matt did not fight the force moving him it moved him in the direction it wanted to go.
A small opening appeared in the wall, where none had been before, and Matt was dragged inside. He could see nothing but complete darkness inside the warehouse, the vibration started again and then stopped and a mechanical voice spoke in the human language.
It said: "I am the warehouse controller. Our scans of your body are being blocked and please inform us why we cannot scan your mind The block on your thoughts is not natural there is no flexibility at all?"
Matt said: "You are not able to read my mind because of the material my suit is made from. If you need to read my mind for humanity to be accepted for this role. Then I will leave here, and you will need to find another employee."
"Human policy on this topic is unbending. We do not allow our technology to be seen, given to, or stolen by anyone, and the controller of this warehouse is included in that policy."
The disembodied voice asked: "What is the power supply for your suit? It is reading a constant temperature with no hot spots. All power supplies and current flow create heat. Yours does not. How is this possible?"
Matt said: "Okay, I'll be going now. You are obviously trying to get access to what I will never give you. You can do the job that you called us her for, yourself."
Matt turned and said: "Open the door, or I will make a door of my own."
The Warehouse voice said: "You will not leave this place until I have access to your technology."
Matt said: "Are you telling me that you... Whoever you are to be, just happen to be corrupt? And this is just a charade to gain access to human tech?"
Matt knew he had led humankind into another trap. He felt disappointed as he said: "You are just another thief."
