Months stretched out to seem like years on the Luna Colony. It became increasingly apparent to Adara and the members of the NINE that Luna had just two things on his mind. One was to gain access to the Extrusion and Infinity Battery technology that SP1 created, and the other was stealing Adara away from Steve.

Steve had never been so annoyed with one person in his long lifetime. Luna was now openly disrespectful and even belittling Steve in front of Adara and the NINE. Steve knew that Luna was baiting him so he would commit a violent act against the Luna avatar as doing so would give Luna the reason to remove Steve from the picture.

Steve's actions would be considered as violence against the Luna Colony, as Luna 'is' the Colony. It would provide the grounds for incarceration. It was the perfect and legal way to force Steve out of the way.

Steve knew that the bipedal Luna SP was far beyond his physical ability to punish anyway, so he was left feeling inadequate and depressed. The result caused him to withdraw in sullen jealousy.

Adara's frustration grew as Luna continued to manoeuvre above the 'provable' crime line, meaning Adara and the SP council could not act against him. The members of the NINE, plus Adara and the SP8 Avatar were in Adara's apartment to discuss solutions to the problem.

'B' sharp combed the habitation levels of the Luna Colony to uncover the anomaly that Luna had become in 'B' Sharps thoughts. It was more of an intuitive sense than factual. It felt that something about Luna resonated off-key.

It was confusing for 'B' Sharp, and even though it read the surface thoughts of every person, there was simply, no evidence of the Luna SP's spiritual Essence on any life level. 'B' Sharp decided the time was right to invite help from the team.

'B' Sharp sent its thoughts directly into the minds of those present in Adara's dining room, saying: "Thank you for coming. I asked Adara to bring you all here because I'm at a loss as to how I can proceed from this point. Team, it's a fact that there's something wrong with Luna, but I just can't get a grip on specifics. I have been at it non-stop for seven months."

"The time has come for me to ask for your help. I've scanned every single living space on Luna, and I can find nothing, and yet, The Luna consciousness in the Central Control matrix of this ship seems mundane, and mechanical in its psychic flavour."

"I thought that, just maybe, Luna may have reversed its psychic essence; much like the Eden SP. But then that is unlikely because his avatar has no Infinity Battery to make it invincible, at least compared to other attack Avatars. The risk of permanent destruction would be an unacceptable risk for Luna.

Joshua said: "That is sound reasoning. Luna needs to be protected; therefore, of course he must be in the control matrix as that is protected by the power of the Luna Infinity Battery. Quite a quandary we have here."

'B' Sharp sent: "I started to question if Luna was ever an SP, but I realised that he must be, as he was in communion with the SP council and he also orchestrated the building of Luna with Nanites. Honestly, I'm so confused. It's like there is a higher part of his consciousness that is vacant or misplaced. What am I missing?"

Steve said: "I'm not thinking well. Lately, I'm angry and frustrated with the whole Luna situation. I don't think I'm of any value in this discussion, so please work around me for now." Adara cast her eyes toward the floor and the stress with the couple's relationship was sorely apparent to those present.

SP1 was sitting on the other side of Adara, and it said: "Luna failed my basic SP criteria, right at the beginning. I told the council and the NINE that Luna was created in conflict. Luna admitted as much, himself. Let's just destroy him on those, very sound grounds."
