"What happened, Saliha? Why do you look so upset?" asked Hunza. "I have seen you upset for ages," she was concerned. She was placing her books in the college's locker.
Saliha was looking for her books, but she was unable to find them.
Saliha was at the age of frustration. She needed a friend to tell. She took a deep breath and told her everything.
"What?" Hunza claps her hand on her mouth.
"Yeah and he has been teasing me for weeks," she said, exhausted.
"That's why you looked so upset when going with that prick?" asked Hunza. "Yeah," she nodded.
"And why did that boy beat him?" asked Hunza. "Do you know that guy?" she asked. Hunza was unable to see Roman's face that day.
She felt her heart drop to the stomach.
"No, I don't know him, maybe because of some personal reasons he beat him," she said, looking away.
Hunza opened her mouth to say something when someone came to sit beside her.
She looked at him instantly and her expression turned stone. "How are you to Saliha?" asked Emaad, ignoring her.
"Better," she said, smiling.
"Sorry, I could not give it to you in the car," he said, giving her her books.
"What car?" asked Hunza instantly and she even found her own accent strange.
Saliha looked at her instantly. Emaad looked at her quickly as if he was asking why it matters to you?
"My car wrecked the other day so Ehsaan offered me a ride," she said, instantly.
She could sense sudden coldness in the air.
"You really should need a phone in case you can ask me instead of trusting some randomly," said Hunza, without looking at Emaad, who felt his blood boiling.
"That's alright, Emaad is known to me," said Saliha, smiling.
"Oh really?" she heard a cold voice behind her. A voice that always gives her a shiver through her spine. She turned, he was standing next to a locker. She felt all the blood rush through her face.
He walked towards them and he and Emaad made a hug in their brother style.
"Gardezi," said Hunza, bitterly. His expression changed.
"What is it with you, Alvi?" he asked coldly while folding his arms around his chest. Saliha was looking at both faces as if a child was looking at something fascinating.
"You know each other?" asked Emaad.
"Yeah, very well," he said while looking at Saliha. She again felt a chill in her spine, and then he turned. Emaad gave Hunza a glare, and then he turned back towards his friend.
"How do you know each other?" Saliha asked. Hunza rolled her eyes.
"Famous for being a heartbreaker, the whole town knows him," she said, annoyed.
She was staring at Hunza, expressionlessly.
"What?" asked Hunza.
"Nothing?" Saliha said.
"Come on, we are getting late," Hunza held her hand and took her inside.
***********
"When are you going to get the phone?" asked Hania, smiling. "Here, I did this for you," she gave her the notebook.
She looked at her with questionable expressions.
"Homework, when you had left the class that very day, the professor had given us a home assessment," she said, smiling.
