"Imran, please try to understand I can't leave my daughter in hostels, you know about the detrimental environment for young girls nowadays," she said, trying hard to be so sweet.
"Rukhsana, you are pretty rich, you can arrange a safe place for your daughter," said Eliza, angrily.
"Yeah, I can but you know I can't move here in the town with her," said Rukhsana, it was obvious that she did not like Eliza's comment.
"Imran, please try to understand, I can't leave my young daughter alone," she pleaded. It was clear she was buttering them.
"Uncle please, I am Saliha's cousin and this is her in-law's house, and more than that you are my uncle as well, after all, you are an adopted child to my grandparents," Sana spoke for the first time since she came here.
Imran took a deep breath, how much he hated this family but he can't risk a girl's safety.
"Uncle, I am like your Saliha as well, will you not help me?" she pleaded.
He looked at Eliza who was wearing confused expressions. "Fine," he said shortly and walked out of the house.
Eliza took a deep breath.
"Oh thank you, I am very grateful," said Rukhsana.
"Rukhsana, but remember that you will not say a single word against Saliha's mother. We have kept this from her," Eliza said while raising an eyebrow.

"Why would I?" Rukhsana said, nastily. It was obvious they were sugar coating.

*************
In two hours she had finished doing the assignment with the help of Zain.
"Oh holy grace, thank you so much Zain, you helped a lot," said Saliha.
He smiled, he seemed so depressed.
"Zain, is there something bothering you?" she asked.
"No, Saliha, I am fine," he said, smiling.
"Where is Roman? I have not seen him since last week," he asks moving fingers in his silky hair.

"He is busy with his internship," she said.
His phone rang, intruding on their conversation. He answered the call. "Mom, when did you arrive? Okay, Okay, I am coming," he said. His eyebrow slightly narrowed.
"What happened?" asked Saliha.
"It's my mom, she said she is in the town," he said.
"Your mom lives in another town?" she asked. She does not know anything about Roman's friends' personal lives.
"Yeah, I am living here for studies," he said.
"How long you and Roman are friends?" she asked.
"It has been five years since I came here for studies and our squad formed," he said.
"And Roman and Emaad?" she asks, curious.
"Both were mysterious as if they have been hiding some secrets. Somehow, they formed friendships," he said.
"What mysterious?" she asks.
He took a deep breath as if he was thinking something.
"Emaad's mom attempt suicide when he was 8. There are rumours that she has been murdered. The Alizai family hides a lot in their basements and no one exactly knows about them," he said.
"And..Roman," he asks hesitantly.
"He got his secrets," he said and winked at her. She took a deep breath.
"Okay Saliha, I must go, " he said while getting up.
She nods.
She wanted to study some random stuff in the library so she stayed there for a while.

"Your hours are already off, what are you doing staring at the phone?" asked Sara, smiling. There was always mischief in her eyes.
He looked up from the corner of his eyes.
"Your fiancé is here to pick you up?" he asked. She rolled her eyes.
"He called me 10th times, he has been in the parking lot for two hours and asking when my shift will be over," she said, exhausted.
"You should not make him wait," he said. He could imagine how he will react if Saliha will do this with him.
"He offended me last night," she said, irritated.
"Still he is your fiancée, you should not have made him wait," he said.
"Oh come on, he is fiancée, not God," she said, annoyed.
"But you should take care of his emotions," he said while looking into her eyes.
"Roman, since when you have raised the flags about men's rights?" she asked, irritated.
He remained quiet.
"He offended me," she said, exhausted.
"How?" he asked, he was unknowingly taking interest in their relationship.
"Well, he punched my best friend, who was just trying to dance with me," she said, angrily.
Roman has narrowed his eyes. He could understand her fiancée's feelings.
"Well, you should not dance with him in the first place," he said calmly.
"Roman, he is my best friend, yeah, it is good to be possessive but hurting someone you love in the process is not a good thing," said Sara.

Two teary hazel eyes turning green dances in front of his eyes.

"So that's why I am not going down," she said, annoyed. Roman took a deep breath.

"He is your fiancée, he cannot bear anyone around you," he said but his words were so strange to him because Saliha is his wife and he was fucking around in front of her. How would she have felt?

He rolls his eyes at his thoughts as if he does not care.

"I took revenge, he gave a ride to one of his colleagues," she said, smiling mischievously.

"You took revenge?" he asked in a whisper-like voice. "Yeah, if he could do this, so do I," she said, annoyed. Roman felt as if bells were ringing inside his head.

"Sara," just then someone called her name and she turned.
Roman's gaze fell on the person standing at the door. He was tall and blond.

He walked towards her slowly.

"I am sorry, my love," he said in a whisper-like voice. "You better should," snapped Sara.

"Listen, I don't like sharing and you know it, I hate when I see anyone around you," he said.

"You give a ride to your colleague first," she said.

"Boss asked me, I told you dear, you know how much I love you, I would never cheat on you," she said, sadly.

It was palpable that he was certainly so weak for this girl.

She looked inside his eyes for a while and then she hugged him. Roman was looking at them as if he was watching some romantic movie, a genre he never liked.

"Let's go home," the man whispered. She turned towards Roman.

"Okay Roman, I am leaving, you better leave soon because it is raining outside," she said and walked towards the exit with the man.

Roman took a deep breath and then he looked at his phone again. Saliha's number was appearing on the phone.

***********
She remained in the library for more than one hour. After a while, she got up and took the book she was reading with her to the counter.

"Hello Miss, I need this book for a week," she said.

"Sure," said the librarian.

She came out of the library and much to her surprise the weather was not so good.

"Oh no, how would I go home," she thought and sat on one of those benches in the hall.

She was waiting for the weather to clear but it seemed impossible not for today but for the whole week.

She decided to dial Uncle Imran's number but it was unreachable.

"Who should I call?" she thought.

"Devil," said a voice inside her.

She felt her heart rushed.

She unwillingly dialled his number but he did not answer.

"What I was thinking? He would not even bother to pick," she scolds herself and decide to dial Hunza's number.

"Hunza and Hania, I hope they have not left yet," she thought.

She was about to push the number when Roman's name appeared on the screen.
