Saliha raised her eyes and looked at Roman, who was watching the news with his expression poker as usual.

She was lost in his features again when he spoke without looking at her, she got her senses back.

"What's on my face?" he asked in a deep voice making her startled.

The phone fell from her hands and he looked at her.

She nods his head in disappointment.

"I. I am going to cook something. I am going to ask Sana what she will eat," she said.

"She is not home," he said while turning his face towards the television.

"What? But it's 8:40 p.m. She should be home Roman. Aunt Eliza forbade us to remain out after 8," she said.

He did not answer.

"Now what should I do?" she muttered.

"Your freaking cousin...must be fucking around and you are worried for nothing," he said with, a poker face.

She gasped.

"How could he curse so much?" she thought.

"You should stop caring for people who do not care for you and your emotions," he said.

"But.." she tried to say something when he abrupted her.

"She is your cousin? Oh pussy, she is damn freaking git," he cursed again and this time Saliha gasped.

"Roman, please," she said, disappointed.

"When you will learn not to care so much?" he asked, calmly. There was something in his eyes that made her go warm in her heart.

"If I had to, I would have stopped caring for you first," she thought.

The phone rang and she walked towards the extension.

"Hello, who is it?" Aunt Rukhsana's voice appeared on the other side.

"Hello Aunt Rukhsana, it's Saliha," she said.

"Saliha, where is Eliza? I need to talk to her," said Aunt Eliza, annoyed. Saliha could guess she was not in the mood.  After all she lived with her for years.

"She is out on a business tour with Uncle Imran," she said.

"Well, fine, tell your husband. How did he dare to throw my daughter out of his house? He insults her in front of the whole college throwing all of her luggage on the ground of the college. What he thinks he is?" screamed Aunt Rukhsana.

She looked back at Roman who was watching television calmly but her calm was now gone.

"Saliha, your in-laws are rich and powerful but they can't insult others like this," Aunt Rukhsana said. She gulped.

She wanted to say something when she felt someone was standing behind her. She turned and found him standing there. She gasped.

"When did he come here?" she thought.

He snatched the receiver from her.

"What does he think he is? And you, you married him, don't think you are something diamond now Saliha, don't forget what you are...your mother esc...." Rukhsana was about to complete her sentence when Roman spoke.

"Don't you dare to say another word," Roman said in a spine-chilling voice, calm voice. How come he was so calm in such siituations.  Saliha gulped again.

Even Rukhsana fell silent.

"Insult? Did you feel the insult? Have you asked your mighty daughter what she did here? She insulted my wife and if she ever dared to do that, I would not throw her luggage out but bury her as well," he said, calmly, and then he put the receiver down.
