I woke up extra early to meet the sun peeking over the horizon. It's gonna be a good day. Today the first day of class so I was anxious to get it over with.

Let me look at my schedule one more time.

I got ready in about half an hour and ate a lil breakfast. Then I grabbed my keys, wallet and phone and stuffed them in my empty ass backpack. I'm just about ready to listen to lectures all day. Ain't nothing out of the ordinary gonna happen in the first day. Or at least, I hope not.

Half past seven and I'm off to class.

The time of day didn't stop me from rolling my windows down and blasting my music. I can't help but turn up in the morning. It's the energy that carries me into the day.

Going to school this early reminds me of waking up for in high school and high school can kiss my black ass. The music shuffled on Good Morning by Mak Sauce.

Ah, good mornin'
Today is a wonderful day (today)
A pussy boy better not play (today)
I'm bringin' them racks out the bank
Put ten racks on top of your head
Next ten minutes, your ass get sprayed
Today
Today

Highkey, I got beef with this 8am. I don't mind being up early in the morning but to be in class is just disrespectful. I'm only taking this class cause the school talking about they can't accept my AP credit from high school.

The disrespect is so real. They just want my money and they lucky I'm on scholarship.

I don't know where my classes are. I'm glad I came early though. I'll figure this out.

My 8am was boring as fuck. I almost fell asleep. It was just a syllabus lecture. My 2:45 just ended and I now have homework on my first day of school. Like damn, it's only my third day out here. We could've started with an ice breaker but I digress. It's just Calculus I. Easy money.

I stood up from my chair and wiggled my way down the row. I can't wait to go to the library and do my homework. I haven't been inside there yet. I only visited this school virtually, but I like what I saw though. So far, it's all accurate.

Thank God for street signs cause I didn't know where the library parking lot was, which is on the other side of campus, but I eventually found my way. I parked under a tree for the shade, knowing my car overheats fast, then I made my way inside and it was modern. White walls, a large skylight and giant bookshelves.

I'm really amused that so many buildings in this school have unique architecture. Some look like they were made yesterday while others look like they've been here since the school opened in 1887.

I processed the layout of the building. There was a Starbucks inside, that's what's up.

New desktop computers were on both sides of the main entrance. It was surprising to see the library occupied during the summer. I thought I was the only nerd still going to the library to study.

Maybe this really is a serious college and not just a party paradise.

With the help of a few maps on the walls along the way, I found my way upstairs to the isolated study rooms. I paced through the hallway as I glanced through the glass windows.

I walked into a room I thought was unoccupied, but was quickly disproven. It was quiet as a mouse until I walked in and looked left. There was a girl studying in the corner listening to music on her headphones.
