Jax singing to himself as he's washing his car

I'm calm, cool, collected
I've been waiting to set the scene
How about a circle of madness
Gets me in stitches, but breaks at the seams

I need a little routine
An act that I stick to my soul
You think that all of this matters
Darling, you fell for the joke

Cause we don't belong here
What do you do when you are trapped?
Might as well sit back and relax
Sip on your worries and laugh

On this particular day, Jax decided to go to PetGo to look at some pets. He had been thinking about getting a rabbit and naming it "Jaxxy." The name sounded familiar to him, although he couldn't quite find a place where he had heard it before. As he was about to leave, Pomni came running out of the house, calling his name.

"Sup Pomni, you need something?" Jax asked as he turned around to see Pomni approaching him.

"W-well yeah, are you planning on heading somewhere today?" Pomni asked nervously.

Jax informed her that he was going to PetGo to see some pets and possibly buy a rabbit. Surprisingly, Pomni asked if she could tag along. Jax agreed without hesitation, much to Pomni's relief.

As they walked towards PetGo, Jax dropped a bombshell on Pomni. He mentioned that he was also considering getting an apartment. Pomni was taken aback by this revelation and immediately expressed her concerns.

Jax explained that he felt it was time for him to venture out on his own and learn to be independent. He reassured Pomni that he had been thinking about it for a while and was confident in his decision.

Pomni, however, couldn't bear the thought of Jax being alone.

"I don't know how you can manage to be alone again, y-you were all alone, right? When you were gone." Pomni asked.

"Yeah, but I'm back and better than before, I doubt anything bad is gonna happen to me on my own," Jax said nonchalantly.

"Even so! I want to be with you, I wanna stay with you!" Pomni said as her face faintly turned red.

Jax chuckled as he patted Pomni on the head. "Aww, that's sweet, clinging to your brother, huh? That's sweet" Jax jokingly said.

Pomni closed her eyes in shame and embarrassment as he said nothing. 'Why did I say that!?' Pomni thought to herself! "I want to be with you, I wanna stay with you!" What the heck was I thinking? I almost confessed to him! But... I... I wanna confess, ugh I hate that feeling! I hate the feeling of anxiety! Why can I just-"

"You're okay, Pomni?" Jax asked.

"Huh, oh yeah! Yeah, I am totally fine!" She nervously giggled. "Fine as a... winter breeze?"

"Uhh... I think you meant Cool as a Winter breeze" He corrected her.

Pomni suddenly burst into nervous laughter. "Oh my goodness! You're so funny" she continued to laugh, leaving Jax confused.

"Riiight!" Jax said, slightly weirded out. "Well If you wanna come and then hop in."

"Gotcha!" Pomni said happily, her face still slightly red from her laughter.

Pomni couldn't believe she almost confessed her feelings to Jax. The thought still lingered in her mind as they journeyed home together. She wanted to be with him, to stay by his side, but she was afraid of what might happen if she told him how she truly felt. The fear of rejection and the uncertainty of his feelings kept her trapped in a state of anxiety.

As they reached their destination, Pomni tried to push her feelings aside and act normal. She didn't want to ruin their relationship or make things awkward between them. But every time she looked at Jax, her heart fluttered and her cheeks burned with embarrassment.

"Pomni," Jax called out, breaking her thoughts. "Are you sure you're okay? You seem a bit off today."

Pomni forced a smile and nodded. "I'm fine, just a little tired maybe."

Jax raised an eyebrow but decided not to press further. He didn't want to make her uncomfortable or cause her any distress. As they entered the house, Pomni's mind raced with thoughts of confessing her feelings to Jax. She wanted to tell him how much he meant to her.

Hey Pomni, look at the Rabbit here," Jax said as he pointed at the rabbit enclosure. Pomni walked over to him and her eyes widened upon seeing the rabbit. "Oh my- it's so cute!" Pomni cheered. Jax looked at the enclosure, reading the information about the rabbit. "Dwarf Rabbit. Netherland dwarf rabbits can live between 10 and 12 years," he read out loud.

"Hey! Shopkeeper, how much is the Dwarf Rabbit here for?" Jax asked the owner. The old shopkeeper shook his head, "Oh, I'm sorry but he's not for sale. It's no use selling him."

Pomni's curiosity peaked, "Wait... Is he..." Before she could finish her sentence, the shopkeeper interjected, "That's right, little lady, he's blind. Because of that, He has been returned time and time again."

"What!? Why!?" Jax asked, slightly angered by the revelation. The shopkeeper sighed, "I can only assume that people don't want something blind, even if it's a rabbit."

Pomni's eyes grew wide in horror, "But if people knew the rabbit was blind, why even adopt him in the first place?" she questioned. The shopkeeper explained, "As I was told, the rabbit would run around and knock stuff over, breaking controllers, lamps, and urns. I was even told that he broke a $200 PlayStation Pro Controller."

"Okay, how does he break an urn and a PS5 controller? Well, whoever thought that GayStation is better than a PC must have been stuck on the short bus like Rosa Par-" Jax started to make an offensive joke, but Pomni quickly cut him off.

"Wait, what will happen to the Rabbit, Mister?" Pomni asked, concern evident in her voice. The shopkeeper sighed, "Sorry to say this but the rabbit will be hopping in the fields with his parents in that great big barn in the sky."

Pomni's expression softened, "Really? That doesn't sound so bad..." she started to say before Jax interrupted, slamming his fist full of money down on the counter in front of the old shopkeeper. "WE'LL TAKE HIM!" Jax declared, determination in his voice.

Pomni gasped, her concern demeanor turned into a joy filled smile.

The shopkeeper looked surprised, "Are you sure? He's blind and can be quite a handful." Jax nodded, "We'll take good care of him, we promise."

Very well, I'll get ready then.
