Chp 42: Making Moves.

Pomni walks back to the car and enters the passenger side of the car with Jax in the driver's seat.

"So how was talking to your parents?" Jax asked. Pomni closed the door, "My mom was crying saying how she couldn't survive there any longer, and my dad... Well, he wasn't exactly the nicest father there" She said, sounding slightly disappointed.

"I know you're still upset about that, but I still don't like the fact that he put his hands on you, no parent should do that, no matter what the problem may be" Jax stated just as he drove off.

Pomni looked out the window, slightly sad. "I know it wasn't right but... It's-"
"It's not easy, I know, I can't say I can relate but at least you know that they were still in your life long enough to mess up, look at my parents, heh" he chuckled, trying to make light of the mood.

Mood eyes slowly drifted over to Jax's direction. 'I'm happy that Jax and I are living together, but... Even after I was scolded after being hurt by my parents, I still miss them... I still feel like... I still miss them' she thought as her eyes began to tear up.

Jax's eyes drifted away from Pomni. "Listen Pomni, you may not like what I have to say, and that's okay. I can't exactly see you taking this on the chin and keeping it pushing, but this is what getting old is like, you think the world is gonna treat you if you want it but the sad reality is that it won't" he started, catching Pomni's attention.

"When you're a kid, you don't think half the things you would experience would actually happen, but as you get old, you have to face reality. The world is filled with assholes, people who shouldn't be here, but we can't change that, we're not god, we're only humans and we have to accept that" He said, leaving Pomni in awe.

"You're still young, you've seen what my parents were like, yours as well. But it's okay to miss them, because for the time being, you're a part of my family, doesn't that sound cool?" Jax asked jokingly, Pomni slowly turned her head. 'Your family...' Pomni thought, hearing that made her drop her head.

'I love you, Jax! That's how I feel, that's how I honestly feel about you!' She thought to herself, 'but... I... Don't have the confidence you have to be so upfront about how you feel about people or things. Mmm... Maybe I should talk to Ragatha about it, and see what she thinks

Kinger standing in the basement with his collection of bugs, "Why yes, Jax acting differently in episode 2 of Digital Circus was pretty interesting! I must agree! Hm? Do I ship Pomni with who? Who's Gummi?" Kinger wondered.

"Huh? Oh sorry about this, this is filler! Ta Ta!" He said as he waved goodbye.

Ragatha standing in the kitchen, making food for her brother. "So you don't have any problems dating Jax's sister?" I mean, she's pretty scary, I'd say"

"Oh no she's great" Randy answered, I mean she just doesn't like your guts, that's all," He said, sounding slightly worried. "I can't exactly blame her, I did... Kinda push Jax over the limit..." She said, slightly rubbing her arm.

Sympathetic, Randy stood up and hugged Ragatha, "Don't worry sis, she's not that bad of a cop" he said in a soft comforting tone. "Easy for you to say, you didn't cause a Cop's family member to try to harm themself"

He chuckled playfully, "Yeah... But I'm dating someone who's easily jealous, I can tell you that dating her isn't hard, but I promise you it's far from easy"

"Yeah right, she's just a cop with a bad attitude," Ragatha said, sounding slightly less worried. 'Maybe telling her how dominant she can be wouldn't make her feel less worried' He thought to himself.

Just then, Ragatha's phone began, making the siblings break off their hug. She pulled out her phone and answered it, "Hey Pomni, wassup?"
"Uh... Ragatha? How do you ask a boy out?" She asked, straight to the point.

"Wait, are you about to ask out Jax?" She asked, slightly excited. "Y-yeah... Well... Maybe not now, but when the time is right" Pomni said, gaining a faint smile.

"That is a good question, hmm... Well, getting with Jax isn't exactly easy, especially since he's now asexual"
"Yeah... Maybe, I can convince him to turn back to his heterosexual self" she hoped.

"It's possible, but we don't know how long his mind has been like th-"
"Hey Pomni, the watermelon festival is in a few days, you wanna come along with me?" Jax asked.

"Watermelon Festival?" She repeated. "I take that as a; I don't know what that is. Well you're in luck, I'm taking you to the festival for a good time" "Oh, uh... Is it populated?" She asked. "Yeah but we'll be together at all times, can't let you be bothered by any guys, right?"

'W-wait, he doesn't want me to be bothered by any other guy? Is he protective over me? Defensive? Does he actually hav-' Suddenly, her her face turned red, causing her to cover her face from her embarrassment.

"Uh... So... You're good to go?" Jax asked, Pomni gave a simple thumbs up, putting a smile on Jax's face.
