Avni POV

It's almost 4 pm in the evening and I am getting ready to meet Ishani.

After our awkward shower we both changed our clothes and he headed towards the home office because of some emergency call.

We didn't talk with eachother about what happened in the washroom because even if I screamed to the world that it's physical it's not just physical.

Him, his presence, his fragrance everything is struck in my mind.

After giving a final touch to my hair i stepped out of the room, descending the stairs i came down while passing the lobby i saw Ranvijay coming out of the office, he saw me our eyes locked.

Taking some steps he came near me and stood in front of me.

"Are you going somewhere" he asked,  took my strand of hair and gently pushed it behind my ear.

His raspy cold gentle touch on my ear is making my cheeks heat up.

Why he does these things ?

I took a long breath and then I muttered.

"Yes"

"Okay, come sooner i haven't slept from the last 4 nights" he muttered, his eyes tired, face full of stress line. He actually looked like he haven't slept from days.

"But why I should came sonner ? " I asked confusingly, and he smiles.

"Because I need my pillow" he muttered and gave a flirty winked to me .

" You are not allowed to cross your border" I warned him sternly, what does he mean by that I am his pillow.

"Seriously,  you still think after all this we need that pillow border , which won't stay for even 5 minutes ." he muttered ,though he is right but I am not going to accept it.

"It's not about closeness it's necessary to have a reminder " i almost whispered, my throat is again getting tightened.

"Reminder for what" he asks, he gazes at my hair.

"That it's a deal"  his eyes flickered again, everytime I say about separation something deadly got changes into him.

Especially his eyes all of the sudden they turned into the most innocent and pure eyes of the world.

And hurting them is crulest sin.

" I don't think we need a rule we already have you" he chuckled, his voice full of hollowness.

"But still I will be waiting for you" he muttered and i nodded my head timidly.

I have always been like this I don't have any single person around me because of my raspy behaviour but I don't know why his gentleness towards me makes me so guilty for the things which are right to do.

It's been half an hour since I am here in the cafe but there is no trace of Ishani.

The empty seat across from me seems to mock my impatience.I check my watch for what feels like the hundredth time.

Thirty minutes late.

I tap my fingers on the table, the rhythm echoing my growing irritation. I take another sip of my coffee.

I see Ishani rush in, her eyes scanning the room frantically until they land on me.

She hurries over, her face a mix of guilt and apology.

“Hey, sorry for being late” Ishani muttered, sliding into the seat opposite me.

“It’s fine,” I say with a sigh. I should be grateful that she takes care of my documents.
