It's almost been an year since Jane is in the army; she is doing great as an army combat medic.
Jane, Jed and Lynton have grown closer, ... new best friends.
With severe training in play, to take a break; the young soldiers would play basketball in the ground where they installed the baskets themselves.
They worked hard and weren't restricted to play in their free time.
Jane would often climb the storage unit and look at the stars at night when she couldn't sleep.
Jed and Jane went back to being the best friends they were before and never officially talked about what happened that night.
One night her nightmare woke her up, it was a very cold night; she splashed some water on her face and wore her jacket.
She went to her spot. She sat there and stared at the full moon until when she sensed some disturbance . She peeked down from the roof,
Umm hi, I brought coffee ... tinned.
Lynton? Climb up.
umm... right how hard can it be?
He tosses her the two canned coffees and grabs a block to pull himself upwards.
a little help?
Jane lies on her stomach and offers him her hand.
He grabs her hand and through the support of the wall, climbs up.
They both lie down, panting hard, looks at each other and laugh.
how do you do that so frequently?
practice makes perfect. Wait, how did you know I come up here frequently?
my compound is just a few compounds away.
why didn't you show up before?
I figured you needed privacy.
no it's not that, it is just when I come up here I feel so relieved, looking at these stars and moon, I like it here
They both open their coffees, cheers and sips.
some coffee is better than no coffee.
Ahem
It's quite chilly out here,
Jane quietly slides closer to him and places her head on his chest; her soft hair lies open on his chest, he could feel them on his face.
Lynton takes a deep breath and looks at her as he puts his arm around her.
