Jane wakes up, she finds herself in the army unit hospital.
She is on a drip and her forehead is bandaged.
She sees Jed sitting on a chair beside her, holding her hand.
Jane doesn't speak a word, a tear drops on her pillow. She is overwhelmed of crying.
Jane you are fine now, I am so sorry Jane, I....
Jed gets up and kisses her forehead; he leaves her bedside and heads outside.
He takes a big sigh of relieve. His eyes are teary; he wipes them away with his both hands.
Funeral is held for the deceased.
Flags are raised and guns are fired in their honor.
Formally dressed in their uniforms, the soldiers including Jane and Jed salutes and taps their feet on the ground as the coffins are lowered in their graves.
ONE YEAR LATER
Jane had completed her internship; it is the time She decides whether to stay or move on.
She gives up her dream; Lynton's death had affected her.
Jane decides to go back realising she was beyond damaged to bear any more losses in the army.
She walks to the head office with her bag strapped on her shoulders along with other 3 interns that decided to leave.
Ms Jane Foster it's really disapproving to see you go away, you were great.
Thank you sir, I have nothing to say I just wish that I had the courage to stay here and serve my people
Farewell
good bye sir it's been an honor.
Jane goes out to the ground. The intern, her fellow soldiers, her friends have gathered there. She says her goodbyes.
Finally she meets Jed.
I am so sorry Jed, I was mean.
He hugs her
ssshhh its okay I will miss you Jane. We will stay in touch.
Goodbye Jed, take care.
she gets on a plane and lands soon home.
She goes to a motel instead of heading home.
She avoids seeing Alex and Stephen.
She dumps her bags and lies down on the bed. She couldn't sleep.
She stares at the ceiling and decides to move on, let go of the pain.
