Nightmares

TWO MONTHS LATER

Jane discharges herself out against the medical advice. She comes home

what are you doing here?

I was discharged... rather i discharged myself

why didn't you call me?

it's okay Jed i took a cab.

Jane, I need to go back to the army.

you do? How long.

this tour lasts ten months

Jed...

what?

nothing just be safe,

you too.

when are you leaving?

after two days.

are you okay?

yeah, just exhausted,

Jed: how is the pain?

it has been healing.

Jane I ...

He wants to tell her about his feelings and the USB

Jane looks at him, Jed come picks her bag up and takes her to room.

Jane spend the day locked in her room thinking about who she really was, she keeps having the same flash backs; same man shooting himself in front of her.

She starts to remember her playing at the beach with a dog and a young boy about her age, she sees the same man laughing with her and splashing water on her. Jane remembers being happy.

Her memory is coming back in pieces; she gets overwhelmed and tries to sleep. She tosses and turns on her bed unable to sleep.

Jed is woken by Jane's scream, he rushes to her room, and he gets on her bed and wakes her up from her nightmare.

it's okay it's just a nightmare, Jane it's okay ssshhh I am here it's okay.

Jane wakes up she holds Jed arm and cries.

ssshhh its okay Jane nothing happened it is just a dream.

I am sorry.

Jed consoles Jane. After few minutes he gets up to leave, Jane grabs his hand.

Jed, stay please.

He gets in the bed with and puts his arm around her. Jane gets closer and rests her head on his shoulder falling asleep.

Jed puts his hand on her head and stares at the roof for few seconds; he closes his eyes and sighs.

Next morning Jane wakes up she looks at Jed, she keeps lying on the bed with him.

Two days pass by and Jed goes back to the army.
