CHAPTER 1
[ New Orleans, 2012 ]

Just as Georgia and Elijah seemed to find eachother, everything else around them began fall out of place. Kols death was the first nail in the coffin, driving a wedge between everyone as each of them processed their grief differently, with Davina suffering the most. Georgia tried to help in any way she could but Davina shut her out, enraged most by her older sisters ability to have what she couldn't; love.

With Rebekah at war with the original inhabitant of her brand new witch body, questions around whether Freya could be trusted, the return of Mikael and growing fear surrounding hopes safety as Dahlia lurked in the shadows of New Orleans. Kol, understandably, fell to the bottom of the Mikaelsons priority list, angering Davina even more so. But she now had her own priorities, as regent for all 9 covens. She had cut ties with her sister and Marcel, in fear of being seen as a vampire sympathiser and watched from afar as they each got the karma they deserved for forgetting so quickly about her pain.

Klaus punished each of his siblings, as well as Hayley and Georgia for betraying him in the end. They had enabled Hayley to try and run with Hope behind his back. He teamed up with Dahlia, modifying the crescent curse so that Hayley and her pack would be in wolf form forever, with the exception of the full moon. He cast Georgia aside, refusing to acknowledge her and by hurting Georgia, he therefore appropriately punished Elijah. Klaus made sure they were aware how leniently they had been punished and in any other circumstances it would have been much worse, however he had greater plans. He overheard the couple at night, bickering over what went wrong, with Georgia believing this was all a game, while Elijah held strong to the belief that Klaus had finally lost it, he had been pushed too far.

For the next 6 months, nothing seemed to get better, with the compound growing more hostile with each passing day. Elijah and Georgia watched Hope day in and day out, bringing her to the bayou each month on the one night she could see her mother. All the while, Klaus did the bare minimum. He'd pop in occasionally, whisking hope from Georgias arms while ignoring her entirely, smirking to himself as she would seethe in anger at his presence. As each full moon passed she lost more and more respect for Klaus - until she finally reached her breaking point.

Hope was toddling around in Elijah's room, Georgia kept a close eye as she curled her hair in preparation for the day ahead. The one thing she believed she could set straight was her relationship with Davina. Everything else was out of her control and Georgia needed some sort of order in her life again. She had allowed Davina her time, and after all, as Davina had reminded her, she was an adult now and no longer Georgias responsibility. Those words broke her. Davina was never just a responsibility to her, she was her best friend as well as her sister, and there wasn't a world where Georgia didn't want her at her side. But her sister was grieving and each time Georgia tried to help and comfort her, Davina got more cruel.

Georgia tried her best to blame her sister's grief for her new nasty persona, as it was a far cry and a stark contrast to the girl crying into her chest 6 months ago, begging her never to leave her side. So she gave Davina her time, but Georgia knew that if she left it any longer, she would no longer have a sister and that it was her role to make it right.

Elijah entered the room, tearing her from her thoughts as she finished with her hair. "Hello my love"

He was dressed in gym gear, uncharacteristically. He and Marcel had formed an unlikely alliance. Marcel had been promised control of the quarter by Klaus and had began running a gym within the old St Anne's church for his vampire recruits. Elijah began attending when he seemed unable to control his anger. He had never fully recovered from the ordeals of his past and his disgust towards Klaus only heightened his rage. However, he now seemed much calmer.
