CHAPTER 17
[ New Orleans, 2012 ]

Marcel was sat at the bar in the loft, drowning his sorrows. He couldn't help but feel he was on the wrong side of the struggle and as he avoided Georgias disappointed eyes the day before, his self-conscious thoughts were confirmed. He hadn't been able to shake the image of her. They had always been on the same side, even at times when it didn't appear that way. But there was always one team that they shared.

He sighed as he picked up his phone, her contact photo lighting up the room as she waited for her to answer. Marcel slammed his glass down on the bar top as the line rang out.

"G, I know-" he cleared his throat, rubbing his face. "I'm not the villain in your story... Davina needs us. Call me back."

Across the river, Georgia had just curled up in bed as the night began to settle, it had been a long and tiring twenty four hours. Cami had turned, with her darkest fears manifesting themselves as she seemed to change over night, no longer the sweet bartender/therapist that each of them loved. She was cold and ruthless and Georgia was thankful for the much needed sanctuary of her bed as Camis string of insults seemed never ending. She now had the last remaining white oak and was seemingly nowhere to be found.

Elijah had left to deal with the last piece of the puzzle, a prophetic witch who was able to show him the object of their demise, the sweet, wooden knight. With the witch dead, they would buy themselves and cami some time before the strix swooped in. Georgia had planned to dedicate that time to sleep, and she almost succeeded in that until her phone lit up on the nightstand.

She groaned as she pulled her phone to her ear, listening to Marcels voicemail before jumping out of bed and pulling on a large hoodie and a pair of Elijah's gym shorts.

Marcel was still in the same spot when Georgia made her way to his side of the river. "Marcel?"

He spun around to her, startled before a slurred smile spread across his face. "I haven't seen you around in a bit."

"We've both been busy. Fighting different battles it seems." Georgia sighed, setting her keys down on the bar as she took a seat beside him.

"I'm sorry, G. I didn't know about Hayley, I swear!" He enveloped her hands in his, holding them in her lap.

Georgia nodded. "I know Marcel but what did you expect, they aren't good people."

"Are the Mikaelsons?"

"No. But they're certainly better than the strix." She looked at him, he had always looked at her with such wonder, and tonight was no exception "What's going on with Davina?"

"Well you're not going to like it." He sighed, dropping her hands as he poured her a drink. "Josh dropped by before I called. He told me, she's one of the sisters now."

"What?"

Marcel nodded solemnly. "Aya promised her a spell, one that could bring Kol back."

Georgia downed her drink as she processed the information. "I'm not ecstatic about this, but Aya would never kill Elijah, and Davina would never agree to killing Klaus because of you and Josh. So we're okay right?"

"A little while back, when they got here. D was working on a desiring spell." Marcel sighed, toying with his daylight ring.

Georgia spun round in her seat. "Marcel why are you only telling me this now?"

"Because she couldn't figure it out! I also knew you'd run and tell them." He frowned, leaning back in his chair. "Davina must have promised Aya something in return, my guess is that it's that spell."
