Chap 4 - Her Husband My Enemy

I am Back, My other story is completed ... .I am very heartbroken at the completion of the story. I wish it could go on FOREVERRrrr...Anyways let's start without further Adieu....

Adiraj POV,

"Rana Sa..."

She said, I turned around to look at her. What did she want to ask Bhai sa, that too in the court? My heartbeat was slowly increasing its pace, hammering against my cage, prompting nervousness in me. Will she complain about me? But I didn't commit any mistake? My thoughts cleared at her sentence yet it gave me more restlessness than it did to me now.

"Rana sa, I am a married woman, bonded to the Raja of Venkateshgarh, Raja Nallasivan Venkatesh Chakravarty for five months now, I would appreciate if you send me back to him, as I, being a married woman had no contact or connection to the war that took place. I would be grateful if you grant my wish. Everybody knows how much of a Justice lover you are, your Majesty. Now it depends on your decision, I have said what I had to say, Your Majesty."

She knew how to play with words. She placed her wants and praised my brother at the same time, almost compelling him to agree to her request. My mind said yes to her desire yet my heart denied. I liked her and I wanted to keep her closer and around me, but cannot, at the end of the day, she is married. She belongs to someone else, someone else but not me.

"Raj.."

"Yes Bhaisa.."

"I want you to send a letter to Raja of VenkateshGarh, on the news of Rajkumari Saundarya's living, and also inform him about you taking Princess back to her kingdom, safe and sound. Till then she can stay as a guest at our palace. Take her to Rani sa, she can assign her place of stay.."

"As you say Bhaisa.."

I was displeased with the decision but what he decided was justified. She really had no contact with the war. Everybody knew that the Princess, Lt. Raja Sudarshan had sent a fake one. At that time she must have been with her husband. I sigh and exit the court with her trailing behind. I hear a long exhale and a giggle from behind, I turn around to see her smiling facing the floor with her hand clenched in front of her smooth stomach. I stop in my tracks, making her head hit my chest.

"OW!!"

She looked up at me to look away immediately at the sudden change of annoyance on her face. She steps back a few metres and then angrily looks at me.

"What is it Kunwarsa ?Why did you stop?"

"You seem happy Rajkumari...Would you share the reason..."

She walked towards the large open window looking far away carelessly. A faint smile on her face, she caressed the marble railings and then looked at me.

"Which girl wouldn't be happy on tearing away from the prison-like palace and going back to her husband, to the person she loves."

"Do you know what love is Rajkumari, Because I never experienced it...Please define it to me.."

She chuckled and then looked away. Facing me she looked into my eyes, making my heart flutter.

"Love is like the air, Sarvatraga, which means omnipresent. Love is Anirdesya- that which cannot be defined, represented, depicted or illustrated. It is Katastha- that which never undergoes change under any circumstances whatsoever. Love is Dhruva- That which is eternal, certain and whose existence is free from doubt, which never ceases to be. It is Avyakta- that which is beyond the grasp of time, or imperceptible by senses. It is Aksara- that which can never and on no account be destroyed. When you experience such a feeling, towards anybody that is Love. Be it a Mother and child, siblings, God, or a couple, it exists. Love doesn't need a reason ..Kunwarsa."
