Now for the Saundarya's POV,

Saundarya's POV,

Walking under the scorching sun on the pebbled path with evergreens by the side, I ventured along with the maids towards my few days stay in this Kingdom of Rajputana. One thing that was beyond my capabilities of understanding was why did the Queen not like me, Like, I didn't harm her, did I? I met her for the first time, yet such an un-hospitality. I sighed as my ears caught the sound of a screech of that of a peacock. A smile sprouted my face as I couldn't help but ask,

"Are there peacocks nearby?"

"Ji, Rajkumari...in Kunwarsa's Mayur Mahal.."

"Oo"

So that Shameless animal even had pets residing with him. Ofcourse, one animal tames the other. I giggled at my own thoughts earning weird glances from the maids. I crossed the Mayur mahal. The grandeur of the palace intrigued me. A single person resides in such a beautiful and large palace. Doesn't he feel Lonely?

I denied my thoughts and on walking a few steps further the maid in front of me stopped. She turned around, looking at me coldly. Like a mistress, like a maid, I couldn't help but think.

"This is the Kamal Bhavan Rajkumari, Chabili will show you the way from here.."

She went away, leaving me there. There was no one in sight but I stood there looking around at something else.

Was I living so close to my captivator? That too sharing the same way with him? No way!!

What could have I even done? The captive lives with the captivator, that's what happens. At Least we are not sharing the same space and palace. A lively girl came skipping towards me, a basket hanger on her hands having a lot of fresh lotuses. Stopping in front of me, I assessed her. She must not be more than sixteen. She looked sweet with a long skirt and a blouse, with a dupatta too long for her, that she had wrapped around her waist twice even after draping it around her upper body.

"Are you the new guest Miss?"

She asked in her childlike voice. I nodded, not forgetting the fact that this sweet behaviour might have an ulterior motive.

"Sorry to keep you waiting, please follow me.."

I entered the arched gate constructed with sturdy vines and flowers with yellow peonies sticking out. Maybe I spotted a chameleon within them but I ignored the fact.

My eyes widened like saucers as I entered the bhavan. I thought it would probably be a bungalow but the insides were green. Green lush grass spreaded everywhere my vision went with a man made fountain of water reaching my height. Around was a garden and an archery field. Going further in the luxurious and magnificent Bhavan came into sight. Gold pillars with engraves of the flora and the fauna and gold Lotuses engraved on top of each pillar. It was enormous in sight with maids scattered here and there doing their chores and soldiers stationed at each sector standing still. The garden had all kinds of trees including the magnolias and sandals, giving the wiff of chandan in the air. I took a deep breath as my body gained back its lost peace and equilibrium.

I followed the maid, going through the corridors.

"This is the snanghar[bathroom] , and these are bedrooms. Alongside is the kitchen and the sastralaya. Behind the sastralaya is the Natyam hall and beside it is the Library, and behind the bhavan, with the archery field is the place for which this was named the Kamal Bhavan.Follow me Princess.."
