Now for our Raj, who is searching her day and night but ...

Adiraj's POV,
The sun was scorching high up, letting its beautiful tresses fall upon me and the others hiding. Wherever I go, all I could find was greenery and the play of shadows, all the paths ending at the same place. A maze. Dizziness took over me , devoid of water and food acting up. I sat down at the base of the trunk.
Taking my dagger, I looked at the sharpness. Not surprised that it was blunt due to days of continuous use. I looked hither and thither for a flat piece of rock. My vision fell on one. Pulling it towards me I sprinkled some abrasive sand and started sharpening the silver beauty.
The screeches made me think, where could she be? It had been exactly three days since I was roaming through this maze-like forest, with the foreplay of shadows. The sound of the crashes of the river down the gorge was ringing in my ear. For some reason I felt she was extremely close to me, just a wave of hand and she will be near.
At the same time I felt she was much farther than me, so far, deep into the hole of darkness which continuously pulled her in and the wave of my arm, couldn't grab her retreating body until I was left with nothing but ashes and darkness.
A lump formed on my throat as my heart couldn't accept the news of her being dead. Away from this mortality. She was so young, so innocent, she had a lot to live for, with me, and us.
Lies. Impeccable lies. In this world of obstinacy, I am stubborn, I will stand for her, by her, forever with her. A tear fell through my left eye, falling through into my still hand, which was clutching the dagger with such pressure, that my knuckles had turned white, and I could see nothing but rage, rage and guilt. Guilt for leaving her alone, and rage on myself for falling asleep at night in the unknown forest when 'she' was taken away.
I stood up, and looked around, trying to absorb the strange surroundings. My eyes felt shackles. The iron ones which were used to bind prisoners. My brows furrowed as I walked towards it. They were opened without any forced tampering. With keys, there was a little blood, here and there, splattered.
My eyes teared up again. She was taken here. I bit my lower lip, to avoid crying. Newfound energy and hope, sputtered within. A fire for revenge. I was sure to finish off that bastard.
I walked through the way, marking all the trunks, until I came to a dead end. I closed my eyes at the frustration. Taking deep breaths I followed my way back, following the scratches I made. Coming back to the shackled point I took a left.
The sun was almost setting, yet the forest had turned dark. The darkness lurked here and there, the nocturnal own mocking me for my stupidity. I turned back to see Shwait looking at me with pity.
"Hungry?.."
I asked. It trotted towards me and made himself comfortable. A slow whine, followed by a whimper. I took my hand and rubbed its fur.
"I miss her...I want her back...."
He rubbed his head with my shoulder, implying positive feelings. How dumb was I, talking to a dumb animal. Though I knew that emotions could be shared, I wanted someone to speak to me. Someone to say that Yes, you can find her. The reddened ashes needed a blow of air, to start the fire again. The lava of hope had dried. My troubled sense, and dampened spirit was not helping in either way.
Climbing up the tree, I took out my flute, as I remembered the night where she wasn't able to fall asleep.
"Saundarya.....if you are near, just give me a call and I come to you....That's what I promised you right...Such a treacherous fate that despite you being near, I cannot hear your voice, your calls for help, shout Saundarya, my lotus, shout for help, fight a bit longer,...I'll find you...I promise.."
Taking the flute near to my lips, I let my shattered heart and my broken spirit, covert into the tunes of sadness, emerging through the other end of the flute. A melodious dampening tune wafted through the moonlit sky, smiling ever so lightly and gloomily, sharing its sadness at my lost star, who was entrapped somewhere within this shady forest along with men , who don't think twice . Vulgar and Loyal.

The sunray fell slanting, piercing through the darkness of the night as I climbed down. My back was hurting as my bones cracked when I tilted my neck.
"Shwait....Get up..."
Sweat immediately glistened on my forehead, at the strain and the loss of energy. I hadn't even crossed much of a distance. My knees gave up, as I fell down on my knees, a surging pain stung through my body ending at my forehead. A throbbing pain on my temples. I took a deep breath as I stood up again, only to fall again.
"FUCk...."
I grabbed the grass, as I screamed in pain. Not only my knees, but my heart, my brain, my temples, my back, every fuckin inch of my body.
"WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU?.."
I broke into cries, as nothingness took over me, my cries stopped as the soft, screaming and far away voice, giving a hint of weakness shouted my name.
"kun...war...saaaaaa...."
I stood up immediately. My voice parched, I looked forward to me, before running blindly in the direction of the emergency voice. I stopped for a while, questioning my sanity. DId I hear it right? Or was I hearing things?
Taking in large gulps of air through my open mouth, I gulped in before standing up straight as I glimpsed a soldier laughing at someone.
I walked towards him, slowly and stealthily, to avoid any rush of actions. Getting my hold over his mouth and nose I pulled him over and put a straight cut over his reticulated vein, towards his left side of the neck.
As I emerged others started pouring in and I cleared my way, with my newly sharpened beauty. As I reached her, my focus went to her weak body. Standing in front of her was 'him', a grip on her hair, and the pallu of her saree. Her crying and begging face came into view before I plunged the dagger into the soldier's body, making him scream in pain. His head turned backwards, as his grip loosened. She hadn't seen me yet as I angrily walked towards him, the ground taking the impact of my rage.
My eyes widened in fear as she flung herself down the river gorge.
"SAUNDARYA....."
Was all I could say before I ran towards the gorge to meet with silence.
"DAMN IT.."
My eyes teared up, but my heart gave me solace prompting, the underside has a soft flow of river. She jumped to save herself from humiliation. SHE WILL LIVE.
I slowly turned around to look at him. Who had a scowl on his face. I punched him hard. Across his face. I held his collar before climbing onto him. I screamed onto his face,
"YOU BLOODY IDIOT, YOU SON OF A BITCH....TELL ME...ANSWER ME.... how the hell did you even think of touching her...SHE IS MINE....."
I took off my angavastram, before wrapping it around his neck as I flung him across the gorge, his head completely wrapped around the cloth, on a chokehold. His body levitated as his eyes bulged out, his ears reddenning and his face turned pink. He was struggling to breath, before his body went limp and his eyes rolled back, coming to a complete stop.
I let my angavastram along with his dead body fall, as I ran towards the end of the forest, getting myself to the river as fast as I could. All I chanted was her name.
"Behold Love.....I am coming...Please.."
